How you will help
As an Analytics Associate, you will embark on an immersive, hands-on learning experience designed to prepare you to become a healthcare data analytics expert. Working closely with our experienced team, you’ll gain exposure to the largest healthcare data ecosystem in the US, develop expertise in real-world data analytics, and contribute to impactful projects addressing complex client needs.

What you will do
- Efficiently query multiple data types (medical and pharmacy claims, EMR, lab, chargemaster) using SQL to identify populations of interest in HVM data and assess using univariate analysis and data investigations
- Collaborate on pre-sale feasibility analyses, working with experienced analysts to translate research and business questions into actionable data insights.
- Work cross-functionally with sales team to support operational processes to deliver feasibility counts on time and with accuracy
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal documentation, code templates, analytics automation, and other process improvement initiatives to support internal team efficiency, effectiveness, and growth
How success will be defined
- Acquire the skills needed to become a subject matter expert (SME) and transition to a full-time Analyst role
- Dedication towards learning unfamiliar and challenging concepts and demonstrating professional growth
- Contribute meaningfully to team projects and deliverables while building foundational skills in healthcare data analytics
- Take ownership of pre-sale projects and drive to completion
- Dedicate 5-10% of working hours to team and individual improvement
Required skills and experience
- Must have strong SQL skills, other programming ability is useful
- Understanding of life sciences research using observational real-world data (RWD) sources in the context of generating real world evidence (RWE)
- At least a cursory understanding of medical/pharmacy claims, EMR, lab, and/or chargemaster data. Knowledge of medical coding (ICD, CPT, HCPCS, NDC, etc.) is a plus.
- Passionate about building a career in healthcare data analytics, consulting, or research
- Recently graduated or soon to graduate from a Master's degree program in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Informatics, or a related quantitative or scientific field preferred
We prioritize hiring team members from the Philadelphia area whenever possible, as our main office is located in Center City, Philadelphia, where we operate on a hybrid model with in-office work required two days a week. However, for certain roles, we’re also open to hiring from our hub locations, where we have groups of remote workers. Please note that, due to tax and labor regulations, we can only hire from specific states, but remote work is supported in the following key hubs and approved states:
