Job Summary:
As a Sales Development Representative, you will be the frontline expert in finding potential transportation shippers, qualifying opportunities for potential fit, and executing playbooks to keep your pipeline filled with high-quality prospects.
Utilizing personal outreach through multiple channels - email/social/phone - and with the assistance of the latest technology for sales enablement, the SDR will be the first point of contact potential shippers interact with to learn about Emerge’s incredible procurement platforms. The SDR will complete their playbook by setting appointments with the prospect and an Emerge AE to do an online demonstration.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work as a liaison between executives, corporate, and clients to ensure the progress of converting prospects into active accounts
- Consistent management of underutilized opportunities to generate platform activity
- Identify prospects, qualify opportunities, generate completed demonstrations while documenting all activity through SalesForce
- Build relationships with decision-makers and executives of clients around the country (including CEO, CMO, CFO, CSO, SVP, VP, Director, Manager)
- Develop and maintain technical and marketing knowledge around the Emerge brand
- Take full responsibility for agreed-upon goals
- Maintain and educate team on all leading competitors

Daily Goals
- Utilize Pipe Drive as your foundational CRM
- Engage prospects from pre-built lists through multi-step sequences
- 50-100 phone calls per day
- 50-300 emails sent per day
- Set appointments for Account Executives to perform demos
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 1+ years’ experience in sales or relatable business
- Bachelor’s Degree or work-related experience required
- Ability to work and learn in a fast-paced team environment
- Experience in a sales or customer service position is preferred
- Self starter
- Organized/metric driven
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as collaboration skills
- Exceptional skills in strategic thinking, problem-solving, decision making, and business strategy
- Comprehensive experience with web-based conferencing tools
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
