Description
Trullion is transforming the accounting world with an AI-powered platform built for accountants and auditors. Our technology automates complex financial workflows, boosts efficiency, reduces costly errors, and fosters real collaboration. Founded in 2019, Trullion is on a mission to make accounting and audit technology people truly love, driving a more efficient, transparent, and human-oriented industry. From rapid onboarding to a seamless managed service model, we deliver a customer-first experience at every step.
Headquartered in New York, with offices in Tel Aviv and London, we are backed by top investors, including Aleph, Third Point Ventures, Greycroft, StepStone Group, as well as leading global CFOs and accounting firms.
We are looking for an Audit Innovation Lead to join our Product team. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of our US & UK Go-to-Market teams and our Tel Aviv-based product and engineering organization, bringing the voice of the audit market directly into how we build. We are developing AI that transforms how auditors and finance professionals work, and we need someone who has lived that work firsthand.
This is a rare hybrid role spanning practitioner expertise, product thinking, and domain authority. The ideal candidate is a seasoned audit professional with a passion for technology, someone already championing innovation and transformation within their firm, who is ready to bring that perspective to a fast-moving product environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the audit domain expertise layer for our product by serving as the internal authority on audit standards, workflows, and practitioner expectations across the engagement lifecycle, and translating GAAP, PCAOB, and AICPA standards into actionable product requirements.
- Design, build, and maintain a comprehensive library of audit test cases used to validate AI agent outputs, including structured prompts, evaluation checklists, and expected-result frameworks covering substantive testing, analytical procedures, and test of controls.
- Synthesize customer and field insights. Partner with clients to understand their workflows, surface pain points, and synthesize field feedback with your own firsthand experience to influence roadmap priorities.
- Lead audit readiness reviews for new product capabilities and partner with QA to define acceptance criteria for AI-generated workpapers, memos, and audit procedures.
- Serve as a credible voice for the product externally — joining customer calls and demos with audit firms and corporate controllers, supporting onboardings and partner workshops, and representing Trullion in industry conversations.
- Support development of proprietary benchmarks and datasets to evaluate models and model systems.
Requirements
- 7+ years of external audit experience at a public accounting firm, with progression to Senior Manager or equivalent. CPA required.
- Track record of leading or contributing to audit innovation, methodology, transformation, or audit-technology initiatives; familiarity with platforms like Caseware, PPC, or comparable workpaper and methodology platforms.
- Hands-on expertise across substantive testing, financial statement review, risk assessment, materiality, and sampling — plus working fluency in PCAOB standards, COSO, and SOX cycles.
- Exceptional written clarity — able to translate complex audit logic into structured, unambiguous language for product, engineering, and AI models.
- Genuine curiosity about how LLMs work. You don't need to be an engineer, but you should be excited by prompts, agents, and evaluation loops.
- Bonus if you're actively involved in audit innovation working groups, industry councils, or regulatory roundtables.
