THE ROLE
Thrive Market is looking for a Fulfillment Site Director who will oversee the entire strategy, planning, and continuous improvement of the on-site fulfillment operation. This involves responsibilities such as managing, staffing, recruitment, safety, providing supervision and leadership across various teams (including People Ops, Inbound Operations, Outbound Operations, Inventory Control, Quality Assurance, and Facility Services), and ensuring seamless coordination between different departments and functions within the fulfillment center.
Our Site Directors are hands-on leaders, overseeing teams as large as 300+ associates. They must display positive energy and motivate others with complete responsibility for all areas of the fulfillment operation while driving the development, implementation, and execution of our operation. The leader we are looking for has an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional service to our valued members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic direction and oversee day-to-day operations of the fulfillment center, ensuring efficient order processing, inventory management, timely shipments to meet member demands and overall performance
  • Lead and motivate a large team of associates, supervisors, and managers, fostering a positive work environment, promoting employee development, and ensuring safety and compliance with Thrive Market policies
  • Implement and continuously improve operational processes, workflows, and performance metrics to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and optimize order fulfillment efficiency to ensure site productivity and meet organizational goals
  • Monitor, optimize, and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) encompassing order fulfillment speed and accuracy, inventory turnover, labor productivity, cycle time, defect rates, equipment utilization, and safety compliance, utilizing real-time dashboards and data analytics to drive continuous improvement and meet or exceed organizational goals
  • Manage budgetary responsibilities, allocate resources effectively, and monitor expenses to achieve financial goals while maintaining operational excellence
  • Uphold and enforce quality control standards to ensure accurate order picking, packing, and shipping, while addressing any issues related to product quality or member satisfaction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintaining compliance with industry regulations, safety regulations, operational standards, and company policies while contributing to broader organizational goals and strategies
  • Oversee labor planning strategies, incorporating headcount forecasts, to ensure optimal staffing levels for efficient fulfillment operations, while prioritizing a positive interview experience for candidates to attract and retain top talent
  • Prepare and present regular reports to executive leadership on site performance, challenges, and opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10-15+ years of successful leadership experience overseeing manufacturing, warehouse, or fulfillment center operations in a Director or General Manager capacity
  • Demonstrated success in managing large teams (300+) and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Proficiency in planning and executing operations, and managing multiple projects with varying priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure precision and accuracy in all aspects of fulfillment center operations
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of effectively collaborating with employees at all organizational levels
  • Capability to plan, project, and manage budgets to optimize resource allocation
  • Ability to set clear goals and provide strategic direction for the fulfillment center, aligning operations with organizational objectives using data and analytics
  • Well-rounded knowledge of fulfillment center operations, encompassing goods receiving, picking/packing, inventory control, and small parcel direct-to-consumer fulfillment
  • Willingness to be on-call at all times to address operational needs and emergencies, showcasing dedication to the role and long-term growth of the business
  • Results-oriented with a track record of achieving and exceeding performance targets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

JOB INFORMATION

  • Compensation Description - The total cash compensation range for this position which includes base and bonus is $190,000-240,000/Per Year.
  • Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and geographic location.
