We’re seeking a Director of Engineering to lead MNTN’s Identity and Attribution teams. These are core functions that power the measurable outcomes our platform delivers. This role is responsible for evolving our attribution systems and continuously improving the identity graph that underpins campaign targeting and measurement. You will work closely with senior leadership and business stakeholders to align technical strategy with company goals, while growing and supporting a high-performing engineering organization.

This is a high-impact position that requires deep technical expertise, a strong product mindset, and proven leadership in data-driven systems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead engineering efforts across both Attribution and Identity, owning the roadmap, execution, and team growth.
  • Build and scale attribution pipelines, identity resolution services, and data modeling infrastructure.
  • Drive ongoing improvements to MNTN’s identity graph, including building and supporting a dedicated team focused on data quality, coverage, and performance.
  • Collaborate with Product, Data Science, Analytics, and other engineering teams to ensure alignment with business priorities.
  • Establish and uphold engineering best practices around scalability, observability, and data integrity.
  • Support both customer-facing features and internal tools related to measurement, reporting, and identity enrichment.
  • Stay informed on trends in advertising technology, including incrementality, cross-device identity, privacy-centric tracking, and probabilistic attribution.
  • Hire, mentor, and retain top engineering talent. Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and accountability.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including 3+ years in an engineering leadership role.
  • A track record of building and scaling attribution and/or identity systems, ideally in ad tech, martech, or performance marketing.
  • Expertise in data engineering, distributed systems, and real-time data processing.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), modern data platforms (such as Spark, Airflow, or Snowflake), and streaming tools (such as Kafka).
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to connect engineering work to business outcomes.
  • A product-minded approach focused on impact and measurable results.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, agile, and metrics-driven environment.
