Senior Strategist (Retail Investor Strategy & Digital Financial Comms)

About Stakeholder Labs
Stakeholder Labs is building the future of financial communications and investor relations. We combine proprietary software, data intelligence, and strategy expertise to help public companies engage shareholders and drive market awareness. Our clients are IR, Comms, and Executive teams at publicly traded companies across sectors. Our media subsidiary, Farsight Group, produces original business shows with leading financial media brands.
About the Role
You'll be the day-to-day account lead for 3–5 public company clients — owning the retail investor engagement strategy and seeing it through to execution. You'll work directly with C-suite stakeholders and their IR/Comms teams, translating company goals into programs across content, communications, media, and data.
This isn't a "build the deck and hand it off" role. You're in the work: shaping narratives, producing content, running programs around earnings and major announcements, and showing clients what's working.
We run on an AI-native operating model — our strategists use AI tooling to handle much of the production so they can focus on judgment, quality, and the client relationship. You should already work this way, or be hungry to.
This role starts as a freelance contract engagement with a structured ramp — you'll be embedded on live accounts alongside our team before taking ownership of your own. As we grow, the intent is for the role to convert to full-time.
Responsibilities
- Lead client accounts as the primary day-to-day point of contact, from strategy through delivery
- Build retail investor facing narratives that translate institutional equity stories into formats that land with retail investors
- Run engagement programs across owned, earned, and paid channels, timed to earnings cycles and corporate milestones
- Turn shareholder and sentiment data into insights and recommendations clients act on
- Coordinate media and partner opportunities, including through our Farsight shows and events
- Contribute to new business and to how we operate as we scale
Qualifications
- 5–8+ years across some mix of investor relations, financial communications, corporate communications, digital strategy, or agency-side client work
- Public company fluency — earnings cycles, Reg FD, shareholder dynamics; you speak the language
- Client leadership — you've owned senior relationships and been trusted in the room with executives
- Strong writing — you make complex financial stories clear without dumbing them down
- Retail-investor fluency — you follow the communities and content where retail investors actually live
- Daily, fluent use of AI tools for research, production, and analysis
