About the Role As the Broker Onboarding Specialist at SmartHop, you are responsible for managing the onboarding process for our Brokers including managing and distributing the set up packages, conducting broker credit checks and managing broker concerns. You will be the first and most important impression our Brokers receive of SmartHop so customer service and relationship management are key skills for this role.

The Responsibilities

• Ensure newly onboarded carriers have all needed documents
• Automatically onboarding new carriers with defined brokers
• Sending emails for certificate of insurance requests
• Onboarding and completing broker carrier setup documents
• Getting company information and documents from our tms
• Credit Checks
• Keep carrier broker onboarding live document up-to-date
• Answering phone calls and routing
• Researching new broker opportunities

Skills and Education

• Customer service experience
• Relationship management experience
• Certificate of Insurance experience a plus
• Credit check experience a plus
