We are seeking a high-impact Business Development Director to lead our growth in Australia. You will be the primary engine for new publisher acquisition while simultaneously serving as the strategic lead for our most valuable existing Australian accounts. You will be reporting to the SVP of Revenue for EMEA and APAC.

You will act as a consultant identifying the largest market opportunities across diverse traffic sources including Editorial, Cashback, Shopping, and Gifting, to cement our position as the leading Content-to-Commerce platform in the region.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Acquisition & Market Mapping

  • Identify and prioritise high-value prospects across the Australian landscape, specifically targeting large-scale Editorial houses, Cashback sites, and Shopping/Gifting portals.
  • End-to-End Sales: Lead the entire sales process from initial outreach and pitch to commercial negotiation and closing.
  • Execution: Oversee the technical and operational launch of new partners, ensuring a seamless transition from "prospect" to "active publisher.

Account Management & Growth

  • Strategic partner management: Act as the senior point of contact for a portfolio of major Australian publishers, deepening relationships to unlock mutual value.
  • Optimisation & ROI: Conduct regular business reviews using data-driven insights to maximise publisher revenue and platform adoption.
  • Retention: Implement long-term account health strategies to minimise churn and ensure we remain a mission-critical partner.

Revenue Growth & Upsell

Develop and execute strategic account plans for your portfolio, proactively identifying and securing upsell opportunities and negotiating long-term contract renewals.

Local Market Strategy

Execute the local GTM plan, adapting the regional strategy to the nuances of the Australian market to achieve all national revenue and growth targets.

Customer Advocacy & Intel

Act as the "voice of the customer" and the "eyes on the market." Deliver detailed feedback from partners and competitor intelligence to leadership and global product teams.

Expert Issue Resolution

Take ownership of complex account issues or negotiations, driving them to resolution by working cross-departmentally with analyst, product, and support teams.

Market Advocacy

Represent the company at key industry events and conferences in Sydney and across the APAC region to stay ahead of performance marketing trends.

  • Experience: 7+ years in Digital Advertising, Ad-Tech, or Performance Marketing, with a proven track record of hitting both acquisition (sales) and retention (AM) targets.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Australian publisher landscape and various marketing channels (Performance, SEO, PPC, and Display).
  • Strategic Agility: Ability to pivot between high-level commercial negotiations and granular data analysis/technical troubleshooting.
  • Communication: Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills; ability to influence C-suite stakeholders at major media houses.
  • Analytical Mindset: Highly proficient in using Excel and internal CRM/Reporting tools to turn data into actionable growth strategies.
  • Self-motivated, driven, flexible and adaptable with a proven track record of exceeding goals
  • Proficient in Salesforce/Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
