As a result of our growth and expansion, we're seeking a Sales Manager to join our US team!
The Sales Manager is responsible for identifying, nurturing, and managing long-term strategic partnerships with top tier retailers, e-commerce advertisers and performance agencies for the Connexity platform. In this “hunting” role, you'll develop and manage strategic alliances with large-scale retail brands, fast growing D2C’s as well as performance marketing agencies that play in the commerce space. You will collaborate closely with our senior executives, campaign analysts, marketing team and client services teams to promote the capabilities of Connexity’s platform and boost our value creation in Commerce.
We’re looking for a proactive and passionate individual who will achieve revenue goals through consistent and thoughtful new business prospecting and strategic account development, delivering new client activation and scalable revenue growth.
This role will demand and develop a dynamic character who can manage cross-functional collaboration and provide project leadership as it relates to business development channel activity, programmatic routes to strategic commerce demand, and dependency or investment of other cross-functional company resources.
Responsibilities:
As a Sales Manager, you will:
- Drive revenue growth by consistently developing, closing and scaling a pipeline of advertiser campaigns and always-on partnerships; within assigned retail brand (client-direct) and agency accounts that meet the Connexity ICP (Ideal Customer Profile).
- Identify and map key brand and agency stakeholders that make or influence performance media, growth and acquisition marketing investment decisions.
- Develop deep expertise in and thought leadership around Connexity products in channels such as search, shopping, dynamic product ads, native, buy now pay later and the influencer/creator space via ShopYourLikes.
- Strategically uncover retailer growth objectives, challenges and new customer acquisition strategies that Connexity is uniquely positioned to help solve for.
- Develop relationships with prospective clients through phone, email, social media, in-person meetings and 6-8 professional networking events per year.
- Manage frequent and ongoing cross-functional internal collaboration with Connexity leadership, marketing teams and account management.
- Act as an internal advocate for clients and return client/market-driven insights to Product, as needed, to make sure Connexity is providing a best-in-class product and level of service for its partners.
- Learn, position, and sell successful advertising strategies and innovative commerce growth solutions, both creative and technical, across a range of industries and types of businesses (e.g. footwear, apparel, home & garden, electronics, tool & automotive, sporting goods, etc)
- Demonstrate a mastery of the ability to balance time invested toward low- and high-spend potential accounts along with assessing where they fit within your sales pipeline and the growth needs of the company.
- Attend multiple retail and performance marketing conferences such as Shoptalk, eTail East/West, CommerceNext and Mediapost Performance Insider Summit
For this role it is essential that you have:
- 5+ years of experience in sales, partnerships or business development.
- Strong new business development skills and a proven track record of successfully onboarding new clients
- Existing relationships with account-level decision makers across large-scale retail and consumer brand accounts, agency holding companies and strategic independent agencies (Omnicom, Havas, IPG, Publicis, Dentsu, PMG, Mediamonks, WPromote, etc.)
- Enthusiasm about the future landscape of commerce, advertising, media, and technology.
- Strong business acumen, an ability to present and communicate industry trends, ideas and concepts effectively
- Demonstrated capacity to apply emotional intelligence, maintain professionalism, and show persistence, while accomplishing team objectives and meeting personal revenue goals.
- Skilled in navigating and effectively communicating with internal and external teams, including clients.
- Prior experience with Salesforce (or another CRM system) and related productivity tools
- A relevant intersection of retail and performance advertising (e.g. SEM, CPC, etc) industry experience required
- Experience and knowledge of the affiliate marketing industry & CPA space is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification

The pay and commission offered may vary depending on several factors such as location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base Salary Pay Range
$150,000—$165,000 USD
Base Salary + OTE Pay Range
$300,000+ USD
This position is hybrid, with 3 in-office days per week for local candidates. Exceptions may apply.
