We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.

Our People Analytics team is responsible for creating actionable insights from people and company data to drive Scopely’s talent strategy and ultimate business success.

What You Will Do

The Director of People Analytics, reporting to the Vice President of Strategy and Analytics, will play a critical role at the intersection of people, data, and strategy; helping shape how Scopely attracts, develops, and retains talent across all live game divisions, games in development, operations, marketing, publishing, and other central functions. This role focuses on delivering actionable insights, maintaining data products, and supporting people processes to achieve company goals.

  • Innovative advanced analytics: Apply cutting-edge advanced analytics methodologies, approaches, and models to talent questions across the employee lifecycle (hiring, engagement, retention, performance), to proactively identify patterns and actionable insights that drive business impact
  • People strategy: Partner with senior leaders to define and execute the people analytics vision and roadmap, supporting Scopely’s people strategy. Play a key role in shaping and measuring the company’s talent ambitions, building analytical support, market/industry context, and documentation to align key stakeholders across the company
  • Scalable People Insights Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain scalable data models, products, and tools for real-time workforce insights across teams, regions, and functions
  • Deep Business Partnership: Collaborate closely with People, Game Leaders, Strategy, and Finance to leverage data-driven insights and storytelling, establishing a single shared truth about talent. Utilize all available metrics and tools to answer critical talent questions from leaders or proactively identify them. Empower stakeholders to confidently and effectively use data
  • Employee Experience: Analyze and synthesise employee engagement, retention, mobility, and development data to identify opportunities to enhance culture, improve retention, and optimize career pathways
  • Special projects: Lead ad-hoc insights projects, often requiring quantitative and qualitative analysis, research, and relentless curiosity, a willingness to learn, and an action-oriented approach
  • Strategic Workforce Planning: Partner with HR, Finance, and business leaders to model workforce scenarios, forecast talent needs, and guide organizational design decisions that balance business growth with cost efficiency
  • Experimentation and Continuous Improvement: Establish measurement frameworks and clear KPIs for people programs, policies, and initiatives (e.g., onboarding, learning, performance management) to drive evidence-based iterations. Promote data and analytic best practices company-wide, ensuring our technology and approaches reflect the latest trends
  • Data Integrity and Governance: Oversee the quality, security, and ethical use of people data, championing global standards and compliance across regions (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, and other regulations)
  • People Analytics Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of analysts with a balance of strategic advisory capabilities and deep technical expertise

What We’re Looking For

  • BS in a quantitative field such as math, physics, economics, or computer science (MS preferred)
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in data science, technology, or analytics, with several of those in People Analytics and/or Machine Learning
  • Strong foundation in probability, statistics, and machine learning, with a broad understanding of techniques for different applications
  • Proficiency in Data Analysis using Python and/or R, and strong hands-on SQL experience
  • Strong data visualization skills, including working knowledge of tools like Looker, Tableau, or Qlikview
  • Proven track record in leading complex, cross-functional projects
  • Comfortable engaging directly with senior executives in fast-paced environments
  • A strategic and tactical thinker
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing stakeholders
  • Data-driven, skilled at creating/measuring KPIs and structuring analysis to support decision-making
  • Adept at navigating ambiguity, challenging assumptions, and driving alignment
  • Enthusiastic about mentoring both junior and senior analysts
  • High standards, detail-oriented, and thrives in high-accountability settings.
  • Low ego, high ownership, with a willingness to roll up sleeves and do what it takes to get things done
