- Experience in identifying and resolving complex technical and operational problems within data science department.
- Experience in implementation of GenAI use cases in healthcare industry.
- Ability to understand business requirements and communicate modeling results to the top business leaders, executives, and non-technical audience in a meaningful way.
- Must be a people person, demonstrating an ability to form strong and meaningful connections with team members, product owners, business stakeholders and cross functional teams.
- Be a hands-on individual contributor for critical projects when required in handling modeling techniques and interpretation of results.
- Experience in analyzing and manipulating large, complex, high-dimensional data from numerous sources and building ML/AI predictive models by understanding the data science life cycle.
- Experience in handling unstructured data and utilizing to derive insights using ML algorithms
- Demonstrated experience in statistical modeling techniques such as NLP, linear regression, logistic regression, cluster analysis, feature reduction, LLM, Autoencoders, transformers, outlier detection methodologies , deep learning algorithms, Gen AI algorithms etc.
- Aptitude in performing multiple tasks and dealing with changing deadline requirements. This includes knowing when to escalate issues. Maintains a focused, flexible, organized, and proactive manner.
- Experience in working with data science engineers in extraction of the data required for the modeling, understanding the data, handling data quality issues and model monitoring.
- Experience in working with MLOps team to productionalize the algorithms and test the model output .
- Required to work with offshore team members (Mornings EST) , in leading the projects, acting as a SME in driving the algorithm development as per the business use case and finalizing the models with high quality and validation.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in data science/machine learning/statistics/computer science or equivalent with a background in statistics
- 10+ years of relevant work experience including statistical modeling and data mining using large and complex datasets, mostly on healthcare data
- 5+ years of management experience , in managing data scientists.
- Health care experience
- AWS/Azure cloud experience in implementing data science models
- Gen AI experience
- Proficient in Python
