This position will work with analysts embedded in the business units to determine their data requirements and extract relevant datasets. They will develop SQL scripts that capture the requirements and provide actionable insights.
The analyst will coordinate cross-functionally with product owners, operations, data management, and data engineers. This role will report to the Director of Product Analytics.
Responsibilities:
Meet with business unit leaders to translate their data needs into a robust and deliverable dataset.
Write SQL scripts that go beyond the reporting capabilities embedded in the existing data infrastructure.
Work closely with data engineers to develop specifications for enhancing data availability.
Work with product, operations, and analytics to develop the data requirements for data engineers.
Manage and communicate the timeline for data deliverables. Ensure stakeholders are aware of expected enhancements and have stopgap solutions.
Monitor the quality of deliverables and determine a methodology to QA the data extracted.
Understand the data management processes to anticipate potential breakdowns in data availability. Build robust and flexible data frameworks that provide high-quality and accurate data.
Seek opportunities to expand and update models including refreshing and/or retraining as needed. Evaluate, develop, select, and integrate new tools and processes for data gathering and reporting.
Relays business impacts of findings through sound data driven recommendations and risk assessment.
Proactively deliver business opportunity through claims data, provider data assets, and understanding of business processes/procedures
Requirements and Education:
Expertise in the collection, analysis, and delivery of large, multi‐ dimensional data sets, including using advanced analytical tools and methodology (e.g., Tableau, SQL, Python).
Must be excellent problem solver - able to translate data into meaningful business insights; can make complex, analytical processes and tools simple and digestible for communicating with a broad set of stakeholders.
Critical thinker to overcome obstacles, provide new ideas and assist with developing improved business processes.
Experience designing and delivering analyses that inform business processes. Comfortable analyzing product adoption and customer usage data to provide insight into growth opportunities.
Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences.
A flexible, dynamic, self‐demanding and proactive individual; able to motivate him/herself and others; able to work in a fast‐paced, private equity sponsored environment.
4-10+ years of professional experience. Experience in the healthcare technology industry valued but not required.
Bachelor’s Degree required
