We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team and play a key role in supporting OpEx (Operational Expenditure) and Headcount planning and reporting activities. The FP&A Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data, provide insights, and contribute to strategic decision-making processes. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The right candidate will be energized by a fast-paced, high-growth, PE-backed environment and a great company culture.

This role will be hybrid; proximity to our St Petersburg, FL office.

Essential Duties and Functions

  • Collaborate with various departments to gather and analyze financial and operational data related to OpEx and headcount.

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to forecast OpEx and headcount expenses, ensuring accuracy and relevance.

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to optimize resource allocation.

  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identify variances and trends, and propose actionable solutions.

  • Collaborate with Business Unit leaders in regular monthly meetings to convey departmental results, discuss findings, and address any discrepancies or concerns.

  • Responsible for partnering with the Accounting team during month-end close to reconcile financial data, validate accuracy, and provide valuable insights to support the close process.

  • Collaborate with HR and departmental managers to gather relevant data on current staffing levels, open positions, and future hiring plans.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive headcount forecasting models, considering various factors such as business growth, seasonality, and departmental needs.

  • Work with departmental leaders to review and refine headcount requests, ensuring alignment with budget constraints and strategic objectives.

  • Review and approve job requisitions to ensure they are in line with the approved budgets and organizational priorities.

  • Contribute to preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and drivers.

  • Support the development of management presentations by providing data-driven insights and analyses.

  • Collaborate with business partners to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance data accuracy.

  • Assist in the evaluation of business initiatives, identifying potential financial impacts and assessing their alignment with overall corporate goals.

  • Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and analyses as the Finance leadership team requires.

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • Proven experience (2-3 years) in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on OpEx and headcount preferred.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and using financial software/tools.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to financial and non-financial stakeholders.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools; experience with financial planning software is required; experience with Workday Adaptive Planning is preferred.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work output.

  • Problem-solving mindset and willingness to take initiative to drive process improvements.

  • Experience in utilizing PowerBI to automate and develop dashboards for in-depth financial analysis, a plus.
