The ITSM Automation Engineer help provide expertise on relevant product area features where automation opportunities can be exploited and addressed. You will embrace the concept of "shifting left" to help automate manual processes that will improve the quality and timeliness of the customer experience. This is about making the experience better, for consumers of our services.
As an ITSM Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in identifying and driving automation opportunities while a member of the Service Excellence team. You exhibit an automation mentality in your approach to everything; always thinking about how to make the experience better through automation and knowledge.
The ITSM Automation Engineer must be motivated by challenging assignments, absorb new knowledge quickly and can quickly assess and understand new technologies or tools. You must enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary environment, have a cross-cultural understanding and embrace working with members of an international team.
· Associates degree, Bachelor’s degree or Computer Science degree preferred
· At least 5 years of operational experience with ITSM, helpdesk, and/or systems administration
· At least 3 years of relevant experience with IT automation and scripting languages and tools required
· Knowledge of ITIL principles
· Experience working with an ITSM tool such as ServiceNow and/or Jira a plus
· Good understanding of cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure and/or AWS a plus
· Hands-on experience with programming/scripting languages preferred. (E.g., PowerShell, Python)
· Strong interpersonal skills and work well with others in a cross functional team environment
· You have strong communication skills; both verbal and written
· Hands-on experience in automation of IT processes and workflows
· Working knowledge of pipelines and repos a plus
· Familiarity with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or similar DevOps framework is a plus
