Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager / Data Engineering Manager with strong expertise in Data Engineering, Snowflake, and dbt. The candidate will be responsible for leading data engineering initiatives, managing teams, driving delivery excellence, and building scalable data platforms and pipelines.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical leadership skills, hands-on architecture experience, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage data engineering projects and teams.

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and data platforms.

• Drive Snowflake-based data warehousing and modernization initiatives.

• Implement and manage data transformation frameworks using dbt.

• Ensure best practices in data governance, performance optimization, and data quality.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and application teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

• Mentor and guide team members on technical and delivery aspects.

• Handle production support, issue resolution, and continuous improvements.

• Participate in architecture discussions and strategic planning.

Technical Skills Required

Mandatory

• Strong experience in Data Engineering concepts and implementations.

• Hands-on expertise in Snowflake.

• Strong working experience with dbt.

• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.

• Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and performance tuning.

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms.

Good to Have

• Azure Data Factory (ADF)

• Apache Airflow

• Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices

• Knowledge of AI/ML data integrations is an added advantage

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Strong people management and stakeholder management skills.

• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

• Experience leading offshore/onshore teams.

• Ability to drive delivery and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
