Salesforce manager with people management and technical delivery

Job Title: Salesforce Manager (10+ Years Experience)

Reports To: Director - Enterprise Applications

Role Overview

The Salesforce Manager will lead the strategy, architecture, delivery, and governance of the Salesforce ecosystem across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and Health Cloud. This role requires deep technical expertise, healthcare domain awareness, and proven experience leading and managing high-performing Salesforce teams.

The individual will be accountable for platform delivery, team performance, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction while ensuring scalable, secure, and enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Salesforce developers, administrators, and engineers.

  • Drive performance management, career development, and succession planning within the team.

  • Establish delivery standards, code quality benchmarks, and governance practices.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Manage capacity planning, sprint allocation, and resource forecasting.

  • Partner with cross-functional IT and business leaders to prioritize roadmap initiatives.

Strategic Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with functional stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.

  • Translate business needs into scalable Salesforce architecture and implementation plans.

  • Provide executive-level updates on platform health, roadmap progress, and risks.

  • Champion business process optimization using Salesforce capabilities.

Platform Configuration & Custom Development

  • Customize and configure Salesforce platform based on healthcare-specific requirements.

  • Design and implement:

  • Custom objects and fields

  • Validation rules

  • Workflows and Process Builders

  • Approval processes

  • Lightning Flows

  • Develop enterprise-grade solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and NodeJS.

  • Lead CPQ coding and implementation initiatives.

  • Architect integrations using RESTful APIs and microservices.

Data, Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and advanced analytics solutions.

  • Ensure data accuracy, normalization, and governance.

  • Deliver insights to healthcare and sales leadership teams

Security, Compliance & Governance

  • Implement and enforce Salesforce security models including roles, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.

  • Implement best practices aligned with GDPR and enterprise security frameworks.

  • Protect patient data confidentiality and enterprise data integrity.

Operational Excellence & DevOps

  • Monitor system performance and optimize platform stability.

  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production issues.

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Salesforce CLI, and deployment automation tools.

  • Drive Agile delivery practices and release governance.

User Enablement & Adoption

  • Provide user training and ongoing support to healthcare and sales professionals.

  • Drive adoption of Salesforce Sales and related applications.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • 10+ years of Salesforce development and enterprise implementation experience.

  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing Salesforce teams.

  • Strong hands-on expertise in:

  • Apex

  • Visualforce

  • Lightning Web Components

  • NodeJS

  • Strong experience in CPQ coding.

  • Experience with Service Cloud and Health Cloud.

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II.

  • Salesforce Certified JavaScript Developer I.

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data model architecture.

  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce security and compliance frameworks.

  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.

  • Experience delivering enterprise implementations in global environments.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD tools.

  • Strong business process mindset.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare industry experience.

  • Experience working in regulated environments (HIPAA/GDPR).

  • Experience leading distributed or global teams.

  • Exposure to enterprise transformation programs.
