Job Description:

As the Director of Finance, you will play a critical role in driving financial strategy and leading the financial operations of our company. Your expertise and leadership will be crucial in ensuring the company's financial stability, growth, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This is a remote position, and you will collaborate closely with our global team and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Strategy: Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Provide insights, recommendations, and financial analysis to support decision-making at the executive level.
• Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the annual budgeting process, forecasting, and financial modeling. Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide meaningful reports to the management team. Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
• Risk Management: Oversee the company's risk management framework, including financial risk assessment and mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
• Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital, and liquidity. Optimize cash management processes, implement cost control measures, and ensure adequate funding for ongoing operations.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate and manage external audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
• Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team. Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members. Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
• Business Partnership: Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, such as Operations, GTM teams, Leadership, and HR, to align financial strategies with overall business objectives. Provide financial insights and guidance to support business initiatives, investments, and partnerships.
• Systems and Processes: Evaluate and optimize financial systems, processes, and controls. Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements. Implement best practices and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or MBA is preferred.
• Proven experience (6+ years) as a Finance leader, building and running a finance function preferably in a multinational organization.
• Strong expertise and in-depth knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
• Proficiency in financial software, ERPs, and advanced MS Excel / Google sheets skills.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CFA are a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment and drive results.
• Hands-on approach with a willingness to take on tactical execution when needed.
