Overview

Partnerize is looking for a seasoned and strategic Senior Director of Product Marketing to join our team on a contract basis. This role is for a hands-on leader who can not only set the go-to-market strategy but also execute the plan from start to finish. You'll be the lynchpin between our product, sales, and marketing teams, responsible for bringing new products and features to life with compelling campaigns and customer experiences. Your deep understanding of the B2B SaaS landscape and performance marketing will be critical in driving awareness, engagement, and adoption. This is a fast-paced position for a self-starter who thrives on achieving tangible results.

*This is a contract/fractional role to cover a maternity leave. We are looking for someone based on the East Coast that can start ASAP and work with us until early January.*

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Lead Go-to-Market Strategy: Define and lead the go-to-market strategy for new products and feature launches. This includes overseeing market segmentation, competitive analysis, and crafting product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target audience. You will be responsible for synthesizing market, customer, product, and competitive inputs to drive new bookings and support client retention, growth, and expansion.
  • Oversee Product Marketing Execution: Take ownership of the end-to-end execution of product marketing campaigns. You'll ensure the creation of compelling content and experiences to drive awareness, engagement, and adoption. This includes everything from developing detailed marketing release plans to creating sales enablement materials and communications.
  • Team and Vision Leadership: Establish the product marketing vision and strategy and manage the team's execution of all correlative programs. You will be responsible for overseeing all product marketing project assignments, management, and task delegation in accordance with milestones and deadlines.
  • Empower the Sales Team: Serve as the go-to product expert for the sales organization. You'll create high-impact sales collateral, conduct training sessions, and provide ongoing support to ensure they are well-equipped to articulate our value proposition and close deals.
  • Conduct Market & Competitive Intelligence: Stay on top of market trends, monitor competitor activities, and gather customer insights to inform product strategy and messaging. You will be responsible for collaborating with Product leadership on market research, trends, competitive analysis, and client feedback, integrating these findings into the organizational go-to-market approach.
  • Drive Product Adoption & Customer Advocacy: Partner with the product and customer success teams to identify opportunities to improve product adoption and retention. You will also be responsible for actively seeking and securing testimonials and customer feedback for use in marketing.

Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in product marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role. Experience in B2B SaaS marketing is requisite. Experience in performance marketing, affiliate marketing, or a related field is a strong plus.
  • Strategic & Execution Excellence: Demonstrated ability to not only create a winning strategy but also to execute on it with precision and against tight deadlines. You must have vast experience in the creation of detailed go-to-product market plans, including positioning, pricing, and packaging.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding communication, presentation skills, and stakeholder management are a must. You must be a skilled writer and content creator with past experience in developing effective marketing content across an array of mediums.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing projects from conception to completion.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical skills are required to leverage data-driven analysis and customer feedback to inform product marketing launch strategies.
  • Independent: This is a contract role that requires you to be a proactive self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor of the Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BS), or equivalent degree.

Key Success Metrics & Milestones

Your success in this role will be measured by a combination of key milestones and quantifiable metrics, including:

  • On-Time Delivery: Producing marketing release plans and activities ahead of scheduled product roadmap delivery dates, and executing those plans against deadlines with little room for error.
  • Product Engagement: Demonstrating excellence through product feature engagement, production feature adoption, and usage as measured by platforms like Pendo.
  • Customer Advocacy: The attainment of testimonials and feedback for integration into marketing collateral.
