Department Description
Palmetto Capital is a branch of Palmetto focused on the democratization of the renewable energy and HVAC industries. We provide homeowners with financial products to benefit from solar power, energy storage systems, and home efficiency through advanced heating and cooling technologies. We empower solar and HVAC sales professionals and installation companies with access to our proprietary platform, financing, customer management system, and milestone quality control system. Our #1 focus is a phenomenal experience for our customers and partners, evidenced in our growing financial product adoption.

This role will be onsite in our Charlotte, NC office
Summary of Role
This role supports Palmetto Capital’s mission to scale clean energy adoption by providing operational and relationship management support to solar and HVAC partners. The Relationship Specialist ensures smooth financial transactions, resolves partner issues, and delivers training and guidance on the LightReach platform. This individual also collaborates closely with regional Relationship Managers to drive engagement, surface insights, and improve partner experience.
Strategic & Tactical
Product Operations
- Support EPC partner requests via email ticketing, chat support, mechanisms.
- Manage all queues & action areas within the financial portal to ensure smooth transactions for partners, and remove friction and blockers to any transactions.
- Provide coaching and training transactions to EPC partners & sales reps.
- Assist in the continuous evaluation and improvement of internal processes and help build systems that meet current and future company service expansions.
- You enjoy communicating internally and externally and can travel on a monthly basis (at the minimum) to visit partners onsite to build and strengthen relationships.
Account & Relationship Management
- Work closely with the regional Relationship Manager to understand partner needs and expectations, and begin to build relationships.
- Surfacing global insights from EPC partner requests and interactions to LightReach Leadership and proactively identify opportunities to improve our product and partner experience.
- Work with regional relationship managers in implementing regional strategies and initiatives to drive EPC engagement, including pipeline reviews
- Foster a strong relationship with the regional Lightreach Pro Relationship manager, driving cohesive regional strategy.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a Product Operations, Customer Service, or Account Management Support role preferred
- BS/BA Preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and a passion for building and nurturing relationships
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills that improve collaboration and drives mutual success
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced rapidly changing environment
- Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced customer-centric environment where priorities may change quickly
- Strong problem solving abilities, with the ability to analyze data, spot trends, and develop creative solutions to challenges
- Proficiency in Google Suite, slack, intercom, chat support systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of the construction or solar industry preferred
Success Defined
- Support and grow the SMB channel of partners
- Accurate guidance and coaching of sales members relative to PPA parameters, milestones, etc.
- Consistent accuracy & attention to detail on communication & file notation
- Scale/grow Certified Installers % of LightReach TPO volume
- Support Certified Installer pipeline progression from NTP to M2 (System Activation)
- Ability to independently lead trainings and provide end-to-end guidance on the LightReach platform
