As a Financial Accountant at Ozow you fill an important and necessary role in the business. You will be a key member of our Finance Team, ensuring we run a world-class financial operation. We are looking for someone who is attentive to detail, thorough, and possesses a strong work ethic.

Roles and responsibilities

• Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses
• Preparing financial analyses and reports
• Balance Sheets reconciliation
• Review of bank reconciliations & fixed assets
• Review of costs allocations
• Journal processing
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures
• Supporting senior management with reporting requirements
• Assisting with annual audit preparations
• Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned

Requirements

• At least 3+ years of experience as an Accountant or similar role
• Work experience in the FinTech industry
• At least a BA in Accounting or similar relevant field
• Hands on experience with accounting software
• Strong attention to detail
• A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
