Senior Director, Social at OTE
OTE is excited to hire a Senior Director to lead our social squad in Atlanta! Overtime Elite creates and cultivates the most engaging content across sports by delivering innovative, high-access storytelling to our fans. The Senior Director will be responsible for overseeing the social team in Atlanta: from ideation and new concepts, to hiring and training, to ensuring content schedules are immaculate. This role will heavily impact our league’s social voice!
We are based out of the Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta, Georgia (Atlantic Station). This role is fully onsite working directly with our players, teams, coaches, and league partners.

What you’ll do:
- Lead the team that publishes content to our Overtime Elite social platforms. This includes oversight and running our OTE programming across Instagram, TikTok, and more
- Work closely with Social Media Coordinators, Managers, and Producers to ensure teams understand their priorities and goals and align to OTE’s media strategy
- Amplify a culture of creativity, ideation, and trying new things
- Strategize with the Content leadership team to create new social content ideas and implement them
- Oversee all edits, recaps, vlogs, mixes, highlights and user generated content to publish on Overtime social channels
- Review content before it’s posted from proofreading and spell-checking to QCing videos
- Partner with other leaders and the Overtime people team around sourcing, training, and on-boarding new hires to the social team
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across Overtime to align the content we post with the growth strategy of OTE
- Sweat the nitty, gritty details of everything we put out on social
Who you are:
- 2+ years of people management experience within content creation REQUIRED
- 5+ years of professionally managing and posting on multiple social media accounts REQUIRED
- You are adept and experienced at developing talent within creative teams, balancing content goals and team resources successfully
- You have experience leading professional development and performance conversations with creatives
- You understand and can communicate in Overtime’s voice.
- Digitally native: constantly on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and on the lookout for new, exciting platforms.
- Detail-oriented. Amazing proofreader who always checks their work.
- Down to hustle - this role requires regular nights and weekends based around on our league schedule
- Great at helping others solve problems and find solutions
- Flexible in adapting to changing timelines and deliverables
- Proactive, positive team player, able to help guide projects from concept to delivery
- Bonus for experience with Photoshop and video editing software like Premiere and After Effects
