Associate Manager, League Housing
Come join our team... we're looking for passionate people!
Overtime Elite (OTE) is searching for an Associate Manager of League Housing to supervise the residential experience and implement the resident life programming for twenty-four elite high school basketball players. This person will support student-athlete development while having the opportunity to execute a comprehensive residential education program that intentionally contributes to athletes’ learning, growth, and success. They will have the overall responsibility for maintaining a safe, secure, and learner-centered environment. This position requires frequent and meaningful interactions with athletes in a variety of settings. They must be accessible and on-call outside of regular operating hours to provide crisis intervention and mental health/ wellness support.
All student-athletes live off-campus in student accommodation in Atlanta. Though they are high school-aged students, they will experience a college living environment and a personalized learning experience. The student-athletes will require a balance of guidance, structure, and autonomy to achieve their academic, athletic, and professional aspirations. To ensure that the athletes thrive in such an environment, they will incorporate opportunities to develop and practice essential executive functioning skills, including flexible thinking and self-control. Developing these skills will enable athletes to effectively balance priorities in a highly autonomous, nontraditional high school setting.
In collaboration with the League Housing Manager and League Housing Director, this person will execute daily, weekly, and monthly cutting-edge initiatives that appeal to driven and talented athletes. Using focus groups, surveys, and formal and informal interactions, this person will elicit student-athlete voices to ensure that residence life experiences are relevant, supportive, and fun. To create a culture of team and family, they will proactively implement restorative justice practices as a means to conflict resolution. Through restorative justice practices, student-athletes practice OTE's Keys for Success and develop accountability and community responsibility.
