Role Summary
MX is searching for a highly effective and rigorous Director of Technical Program Management to lead the execution and continuously evolve the operating system that drives product engineering velocity across three product lines and multiple technical domains. This leader will operationalize how work flows from strategy → planning → execution → release, ensuring the organization delivers predictably, transparently, and with high quality.
This is a high-visibility role requiring a mix of strategic contribution, delivery operations leadership, operational rigor, and cross-functional influence. You will partner closely with Engineering, Product, Security, SRE, and India-based leadership to uplift delivery performance and establish unified portfolio rhythms across the company.
What You’ll Own
1. Lead the Execution and Evolution of MX’s Engineering Delivery Operating Model
Architect and continuously evolve the end-to-end delivery framework that converts company strategy into predictable product releases across all product lines.
Drive the consistent application of planning, dependency management, and release governance across product lines.
Lead the annual and multi-year technical capacity planning process, ensuring engineering investments are directly mapped to the company’s highest-leverage business objectives.
Drive consistent application of dependency management, risk mitigation, and release governance across Product, Platform, and Security domains.
2. Increase Engineering Velocity and Flow
Deploy and mature sophisticated engineering intelligence platforms (e.g., Jellyfish) to provide high-fidelity visibility into investment distribution and velocity
Partner with Engineering leadership to identify and eliminate structural waste, shortening cycle times and improving predictability across the global organization.
Establish the standards for Jira architecture and delivery tooling to ensure data integrity and seamless cross-geography collaboration.
3. Lead the TPM Organization (US-based Functional Leadership)
Build a world class TPM function including defining global competency model, career frameworks for TPM organization.
Establish a standard of excellence that enables the team to operate as a high leverage consulting arm for the CTO
Foster a culture of technical depth and influence, ensuring TPMs proactively manage trade-offs and surface risks before they impact the business.
4. Drive Cross-Functional Alignment with Product & Engineering
Partner with Product leadership to synchronize roadmaps across all product lines, ensuring clear sequencing and executive-level clarity on commitments.
Simplify complex technical delivery status into actionable insights for the technology leadership team, accelerating decision-making through reliable data.
5. Portfolio Reporting & Metrics Execution
Lead the execution of portfolio forecasting, KPI dashboards, and executive-ready health reporting.
Translate complex delivery status into simple, actionable insights.
Ensure data accuracy through operating discipline and tooling maturity.
6. Global Delivery Collaboration
Partner with the TPM Leader in India to ensure delivery consistency and alignment.
Maintain a unified global delivery model while enabling local execution autonomy.
Provide tooling, standards, and governance that apply across geographies.

Engineering velocity and flow efficiency have measurably improved, driven by the elimination of structural waste and the deployment of sophisticated engineering intelligence platforms.
The cross-product roadmap has clear sequencing, visibility, and high "say-do" ratios, allowing the business to commit to market dates with confidence.
Executive decision-making is significantly accelerated because portfolio health, risks, and trade-offs are surfaced early through reliable, high-fidelity data.
Portfolio-level risks and complex cross-domain dependencies are managed proactively—shifting the culture from reactive firefighting to strategic foresight.
A clear global competency model and career framework are in place, resulting in a high-performing team of TPMs who act as strategic multipliers for the business.
What You Bring: Experience
12+ Years of Progressive Leadership: Extensive experience in TPM, Engineering Operations, or Chief of Staff roles within high-growth SaaS or Fintech environments.
Proven Portfolio Management: Demonstrated success managing a portfolio of complex, interdependent technical programs (Product, Platform, Infrastructure, and Security)
Organizational Transformation: A track record of designing and scaling global engineering operating models, moving organizations from fragmented execution to unified, high-predictability systems.
Strategic Resource Stewardship: Experience partnering with Finance and Engineering leadership on R&D capitalization, budget management, and multi-year headcount strategy.
Leader of Leaders: Proven experience managing and developing a team of TPMs with a focus on building a career framework and a professional "Center of Excellence."
Skills & Competencies

Business Acumen: You can connect technical debt, architectural initiatives, and feature delivery directly to business outcomes and customer value.
Change Management Mastery: The ability to lead large-scale cultural and operational shifts without disrupting delivery, using high emotional intelligence to gain buy-in across the organization.
Pragmatic Visionary: You possess the foresight to build for 12 months out while maintaining the "hands-on" ability to unblock a critical release when necessary.
