The Director of Sales will lead and develop a team of Account Executives responsible for driving new client acquisition and revenue growth within financial services, fintech, and enterprise markets. This role requires strong leadership, sales execution, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure MX delivers on its growth objectives. The Director will own team performance, forecast accuracy, and strategic client engagement, while supporting MX’s mission to empower the world to be financially strong.
Job Duties
Lead, coach, and develop a team of high-performing Account Executives, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth
Drive attainment of team revenue targets, including new logo acquisition and expansion opportunities
Oversee sales team forecasting, pipeline management, and risk identification to ensure predictable and consistent performance
Serve as a point of escalation for Account Executives in complex negotiations and executive-level client discussions
Engage at a senior level with executives across financial services and fintech to position MX as a trusted partner
Partner with Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Client Strategy to align on go-to-market strategy and deliver integrated client outcomes.
Provide leadership in strategic client meetings, executive business reviews, and industry events to represent MX and strengthen market positioning
Ensure disciplined execution of the sales process, including qualification, ROI development, and contract negotiation
Maintain strong knowledge of MX’s products, industry trends, and competitive landscape to guide team strategy and client conversations
Requirements
12+ years of enterprise SaaS sales or business development experience, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role managing quota-carrying teams
Proven track record of building and leading successful sales teams that consistently achieve revenue targets
Deep expertise in financial services and fintech industries strongly preferred
Demonstrated success engaging senior-level executives and navigating complex, enterprise sales cycles
Strong forecasting, analytical, and strategic planning skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
Willingness to travel to support team, client engagement, and industry events
