Role summary
MX Technologies is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee and drive integrity, timeliness, and efficiency of the transactional accounting in a SaaS environment. Reporting to the Vice President, Accounting, you will lead billing and collections, accounts payable, payroll and procurement. You’ll collaborate with accounting team members and business partners to ensure accurate recording of each transaction.
Key responsibilities:
Order to Cash
Optimize and govern billing terms and collection policies in collaboration with the Deal Desk to enhance process efficiency and revenue realization.
Collaborate with the Billing and Collections Analyst to enforce accurate and timely customer invoicing, ensuring compliance and financial integrity.
Conduct rigorous weekly reviews of the AR aging report to proactively identify and resolve outstanding accounts, partnering with the billing analyst to develop and execute robust collection strategies.
Interface with the technical accounting team to expeditiously resolve escalated issues, maintaining compliance and mitigating financial risk.
Procure to Pay
Direct and support the Payroll Manager to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing and payment.
Serve as backup payroll approver, ensuring prompt review and authorization of all disbursements.
Oversee the Accounts Payable function, implementing strategies to optimize payment terms and improve net working capital.
Evaluate and enhance procurement processes, including selection and onboarding of a strategic procurement partner.
Own the end‑to‑end Procure‑to‑Pay cycle, identifying efficiency gains, automation opportunities, and process controls.
Leverage Workday ERP and advanced reporting tools to deliver actionable insights and improve transparency across the Procure‑to‑Pay function.
Cash Management
Partner with the VP, Accounting to execute treasury functions ensuring compliance and optimal cash utilization in relation to AR, AP and Payroll
Oversee daily bank activity, reconcile transactions, and ensure timely, accurate cash application across AR, AP and Payroll.
Enhance and maintain daily and weekly cash flow reporting to provide clear visibility into expected inflows and outflows, enabling proactive decision-making.
Review Bank Activity and Cash Application to ensure accurate and continuous cash applications
Qualifications
Education/credential: Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience: 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management or supervisory responsibility over accounts receivable, accounts payable, procurement, and payroll functions. Experience leading cross-functional process improvements strongly preferred.
Systems: Experience with payroll, billing, and payables systems (Workday Financials and payroll a plus); Salesforce experience; comfortable with Excel.
Compliance: Experience with sales tax and external auditors a plus.
Leadership and Communication: Strong people manager with proven ability to develop and mentor staff. Comfortability with talking to customers and interfacing with cross-functional departments to accomplish goals.
