As the Communications and Events Specialist, you will play a key role in creating a world class team member experience. Organized, proactive, execution-driven. This role will focus on strengthening existing and creating new internal communications programs and initiatives and planning impactful company events. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator with a passion for fostering an incredible workplace culture and supporting team member experience through strategic messaging, engaging events and a strong bias towards execution.

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement internal communications strategies, including corporate newsletters, emails, intranet and other channels to ensure team members are informed, motivated and aligned on company goals.

  • Craft clear, engaging, compelling internal communications content, including leadership messaging, announcements, updates, and team member recognition pieces.

  • Partner closely with the People Experience team to gain a keen understanding of the team member experience; create and promote initiatives to foster a world class workplace environment.

  • Partner with teams across the business to build and execute communications plans.

  • Lead and manage multiple communications initiatives and event projects simultaneously to ensure deadlines are met, budgets are adhered to, and quality is unmatched.

  • Plan and execute internal events that promote and foster a world-class team member experience.

  • Manage logistics, vendors, budgets, contracts and purchasing branded materials for events.

  • Conduct post-mortem analysis of events to incorporate feedback to improve future events.

  • Document, organize and present event plans to stakeholders from across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field — or equivalent experience.

  • Data-driven approach to metrics and results.

  • 2-3 years of events, marketing, or related experience.

  • 2-3 years of communications experience.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to make executive decisions and exercise judgment within defined guidelines.

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Excellent organization skills

  • Ability to prioritize initiatives and coordinate efforts across multiple stakeholders across multiple teams.

  • Affinity for creative thinking, decision-making and problem-solving.

  • Experience managing vendor relationships and contract negotiations.

Key Success Metrics

  • Improve existing and create new communications initiatives

  • Improve team member engagement scores

  • Monitor engagement of communication pieces

  • Curate and execute internal company events

  • Manage all vendor contracts and relationships for internal company events

  • Lead and maintain stakeholder alignment across the organization

  • Successful execution of internal events, gauged by attendances rates, participant feedback, alignment with company values/goals

  • Curate and execute strategies at internal events

  • Act as internal event point of contact and maintain alignment across stakeholders for industry thought leadership events

  • Event timelines, communication deliverables, on-budget project completion

  • Feedback from internal stakeholders on partnership; including collaboration and communication effectiveness

Compensation

The expected on-target earnings (OTE), which is comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions is currently $71,000 to $85,250. This pay range is just one component of MX's total rewards package. MX takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location, skillset, peer compensation.

In this role, a significant aspect of the job involves working in the office for a standard 40-hour workweek. Compensation

The expected earnings for this role could be comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions as applicable.
