As the Communications Manager leading public relations and social media, you will play a crucial role in shaping the public image and external communication of MX. The Communications Manager will work closely with various departments to help shape the company voice, convey our message effectively to our target audience, build relationships with media and influencers, and grow the MX brand.

Job Duties

  • Oversee the creation of press releases, articles, and other content that enhances the company's reputation.

  • Manage public relations campaigns to promote the company's products, services, and initiatives.

  • Develop and manage social media strategies to enhance the company's online presence and drive engagement.

  • Deliver daily cadence of industry news and commercial insights to MXers.

  • Support C-suite and other senior leadership in positioning them as industry thought leaders.

  • Implement strategies to encourage employees to become brand advocates and thought leaders to support the company's mission.

  • Position MX as an industry leader and employer of choice by pitching and applying for industry awards and speaking engagements at third party events.

  • Ensure consistent and compelling brand messaging across all communication channels, both internally and externally.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with media and influencers, pitch stories, and respond to media inquiries.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with the company's goals, vision, and values.

  • Develop and lead crisis communication plans to effectively manage and mitigate any potential issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience of successful communication campaigns and a strong portfolio.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make data-driven decisions.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.

Compensation

The expected on-target earnings (OTE), which is comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions is currently $71,000 to $85,250. This pay range is just one component of MX's total rewards package. MX takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location, skillset, peer compensation.
