As the Communications Manager leading flagship and thought leadership events, you will play a crucial role in shaping the public image and event presence of MX. The Communications Manager will develop and execute marketing event strategies to build and strengthen relationships with stakeholders at priority accounts, drive thought leadership, and support revenue goals through new and expansion sales opportunities. Responsibilities include managing event logistics, sponsorships, and onsite execution at MX-owned flagship events and industry conferences.

Job Duties

  • Develop and execute event strategies to engage key decision makers at target accounts through in-person events.

  • Analyze Salesforce data and use tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator to identify ideal contacts for marketing events.

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to drive event registration and attendance, targeting key executives and stakeholders.

  • Ensure event success by managing the end-to-end planning, execution, and follow-up processes.

  • Manage logistics, vendor relationships, contracts and purchasing branded materials for events.

  • Plan and execute events that support opportunity creation, deal progression, and revenue.

  • Understand common client challenges and business concerns and collaborate with product marketing on event content strategies.

  • Identify, track, and analyze key marketing KPIs, including event attribution to pipeline, revenue, and time to close.

  • Conduct post-mortem analysis of field marketing activities and incorporate improvement in future planning.

  • Document and organize event plans to ensure clear communication with marketing and sales stakeholders.

  • Ensure all event stakeholders are informed of goals, objectives, and responsibilities prior to the execution of each event.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field — or equivalent experience.

  • Data-driven approach to metrics and results.

  • 3+ years of events, marketing, or related experience.

  • Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator experience.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices.

  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to effectively coordinate efforts across multiple stakeholders across multiple teams.

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience managing vendor relationships and contract negotiations.

Compensation

The expected on-target earnings (OTE), which is comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions is currently $71,000 to $85,250. This pay range is just one component of MX's total rewards package. MX takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location, skillset, peer compensation.
