The Enterprise Risk Manager has an essential role in managing risks and implementing a risk management program to minimize risk to MX and its customers. . As a member of the Compliance and Privacy department, the Risk Manager will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risk across the enterprise by collaborating with others across MX. To be successful in this role, the Risk Manager will need a strong understanding of risk management principles, business acumen, measurement skills, and strong collaboration.

Job Duties

  • Conduct periodic risk assessments and identify potential risks and vulnerabilities

  • Assess current controls to determine effectiveness in mitigating risks.

  • Document and monitor risk mitigation and remediation actions to report to the Risk Committee and escalate as needed.

  • Provide support for internal stakeholders as it relates to risk management processes and controls

  • Track risks in the risk register using a GRC tool and publish dashboards with the risk health of organizational functions

  • Facilitate Risk Committee Meetings, establishing the agenda, and documenting minutes with follow up actions.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in business, compliance and/or risk management related work preferably in fintech or technology organizations Ideally the candidate will hold risk management certifications (CRISC, CRM, etc) Knowledge of risk management frameworks, methodologies and best practices using GRC systems

  • Good organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and workstreams

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a strong tendency toward collaboration with all levels in an organization, particularly executives

Work Environment

At MX, we utilize a hybrid work model, which allows us to attract top talent and increase impact through collaboration. Our team members enjoy a balance of remote work and in-office days. Travel expectations for remote employees is about 15%, and the company covers travel expenses for remote employees. Local employees will utilize in-office time on a weekly basis Tuesday through Thursday. Both local and remote employees can take advantage of our incredible office space with onside perks like company-paid meals, onsite massage therapist, golf simulator, and meditation room to name a few.

Compensation

The expected on-target earnings (OTE), which is comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions is currently $113,500 to $136,000.

This pay range is just one component of MX's total rewards package. MX takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location, skillset, peer compensation.
