As the Manager, Compensation and Benefits at MX, you will be a key member of our People team, responsible for managing a team of two individuals. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive compensation and benefits programs. This strategic position involves conducting market research, administering salary reviews, overseeing benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Job Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry benchmarks.

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of comprehensive employee benefits programs.

  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to ensure competitiveness and employee satisfaction.

  • Manage global compensation structures, considering regional variations and market trends (Canada, UK, and other international locations coming soon).

  • Lead the annual salary review process, ensuring fairness, consistency, and adherence to budgetary constraints.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance employee understanding and engagement with compensation and benefits programs.

  • Formulate and update compensation and benefits policies in alignment with industry best practices.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.

  • Provide expertise in job evaluation, salary structures, and incentive programs.

  • Lead the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for selecting benefit vendors and brokers, while working closely with the procurement team.

  • Monitor vendor performance against agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs) while conducting regular reviews of vendor performance and compliance.

  • Oversee the communication and education of employees on compensation and benefits policies and programs.

  • Utilize advanced analytics to provide insights into compensation trends and benefits utilization.

  • Prepare and present reports to senior leadership, guiding strategic decision-making.

Basic Requirements

  • Extensive experience in a senior-level Compensation and Benefits role.

  • In-depth knowledge of global compensation practices, executive compensation, and benefits management.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions or influence key stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Workday and data analysis tools.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Advanced Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CCP, CBP) is a plus.

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

Work Environment

At MX, we utilize a hybrid work model, which allows us to attract top talent and increase impact through collaboration. Our team members enjoy a balance of remote work and in-office days. Travel expectations for remote employees is about 15%, and the company covers travel expenses for remote employees. Local employees will utilize in-office time on a weekly basis Tuesday through Thursday. Both local and remote employees can take advantage of our incredible office space with onside perks like company-paid meals, onsite massage therapist, golf simulator, and meditation room to name a few..

Compensation

The expected earnings for this role could be comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions as applicable. The pay range for this role is $125,375.00-150,000.

This pay range is just one component of MX's total rewards package. MX takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location, skillset, peer compensation.
