We’re looking for a Vertical Lead to lead a dedicated vertical business within our revenue organization. This role is responsible for owning revenue performance across a category of advertisers, driving both new business growth and customer expansion, while leading a pod of Account Executives to meet a quarterly revenue target.

This is a highly strategic, hands-on leadership role for someone who combines strong sales leadership with deep customer understanding, operational rigor, and vertical-market expertise.

What You’ll Do

  • Own a vertical business end-to-end, including revenue performance, growth strategy, customer acquisition, retention, and expansion
  • Lead and develop a pod of Account Executives, providing coaching, accountability, and career development
  • Establish team operating cadence, performance expectations, forecasting discipline, and pipeline management practices
  • Coach teams in-deal, helping navigate complex sales cycles, account growth opportunities, and strategic customer conversations
  • Shape and refine sales narratives tailored to the needs, priorities, and challenges of the vertical
  • Drive a consultative, customer-first sales motion grounded in vertical expertise and full-funnel storytelling
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Operations, and Customer Success teams to improve customer outcomes and unlock revenue growth
  • Develop deep expertise in MNTN’s platform and products to inform customer strategy and provide feedback that influences product enhancements
  • Provide thought leadership around account planning, book of business management, pitching strategy, and long-term customer growth
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities within the vertical
  • Own forecasting accuracy, pipeline health, and overall book of business strategy for the team

What Success Looks Like

  • The vertical consistently delivers against quarterly and annual revenue targets across both new business and customer growth
  • The team operates with strong forecasting accuracy, healthy pipeline coverage, and clear account planning discipline
  • Sales narratives and go-to-market strategies resonate with the vertical, resulting in stronger customer engagement, higher win rates, and deeper advertiser partnerships
  • Account Executives, Customer Engagement Managers, and Account Coordinators are growing in performance, ownership, and strategic sales capabilities under your leadership

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in digital advertising, media sales, adtech, or SaaS sales, including experience managing high-performing revenue teams
  • Strong track record of consistently driving revenue growth and exceeding sales targets
  • Experience leading consultative sales motions with mid-market and/or enterprise advertisers
  • Ability to coach teams through complex sales cycles, strategic account growth, and customer relationship management
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing, digital advertising, and full-funnel measurement
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and operational management skills
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing across teams
  • Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities with experience managing pipeline and business performance
  • Deep curiosity about customer needs, industry trends, and evolving advertiser priorities
  • Experience within Vertical advertisers strongly preferred
