About JWX (former JWP Connatix):

JWX’s mission is to provide technology that empowers media businesses to connect their content with consumers across every platform. We help publishers transform content into multi-format experiences, reach audiences wherever attention moves, and strengthen monetization in a fragmented landscape. As part of the broader ecosystem, JWX also supports streaming companies and advertisers with solutions built for how modern media is distributed and consumed.

  • Our video players are embedded directly on publisher sites, including Accuweather, Axel Springer, Dotdash Meredith, McClatchy, Penske Media Co., and more.
  • We work with leading brands and agencies including American Express, Citi, Dentsu, Mars, UM, and more helping them target ads against our publishers’ video content.
  • We power streaming for over 2,000 blue-chip media companies, including 80% of the top 25 Comscore US publishers. As the largest independent global video network across CTV and OLV, we reach over 1B unique users and deliver 30B+ combined video plays and ad impressions every month.

Role Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst is a seasoned individual contributor who operates with a high degree of independence. They play a critical supporting role in FP&A, contribute directly to board-level financial materials and budgeting processes, and own JWX’s integrated 3-statement financial model. This role serves as a strategic finance partner to senior leadership and business unit heads, delivering insight—not just reporting. In our lean organization, this person also owns the company’s travel and spend approval process and has direct visibility into executive and board-level decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Modeling & Analysis

  • Own and maintain JWX’s fully integrated 3-statement financial model (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement), including scenario and sensitivity analyses
  • Build complex financial models from scratch to support strategic decisions, M&A activity, capital planning, and pricing analysis
  • Perform deep-dive variance analysis versus budget and prior periods; surface actionable findings to senior leadership
  • Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities in financial data

Board & Executive Reporting

  • Strongly support the preparation of board-level presentations and management decks in PowerPoint, ensuring accuracy, visual clarity, and executive-appropriate storytelling
  • Own the weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting package for assigned business areas and investors
  • Assist in preparing materials for lenders, investors, or board members as needed

FP&A & Business Partnering

  • Strongly support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process for assigned business areas
  • Serve as strategic finance partner to department heads—proactively flagging risks and opportunities, not just reporting on them
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, HR, and operations on planning and close activities
  • Drive process improvements in financial reporting, planning tools, and workflows
  • Own and administer JWX’s travel budgeting and spending approval process

Strategic Initiatives

  • Support strategic initiatives including business cases, scenario modeling, and M&A-related analysis (due diligence, integration planning)

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 3–6 years of progressive financial analysis experience, with meaningful time in a corporate FP&A or business finance role
  • Strong Excel skills with proven ability to build fully integrated 3-statement models from scratch
  • Strong PowerPoint skills with demonstrated experience producing polished, board-quality presentations
  • Hands-on experience with ERP and/or FP&A platforms (NetSuite, Workday, Adaptive, Anaplan, or similar)
  • Track record of working directly with senior leaders and communicating financial analysis clearly to non-finance stakeholders

Key Competencies

  • Strong business partnering instinct builds credibility with non-finance stakeholders quickly
  • Ability to synthesize complexity into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Proactive and intellectually curious—doesn’t wait to be asked
  • High ownership mentality; operates well without heavy direction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity in fast-moving or scaling environments
  • Startup mentality—willing to roll up sleeves, wear multiple hats, and build or improve processes where none exist

Nice to Have

  • CFA, CPA, or MBA
  • Experience supporting M&A activity, integration planning, or due diligence
  • Exposure to international operations (multi-entity, multi-currency, intercompany eliminations)
  • Background in tech, media, or a high-growth company
