The Professional Services Team:
The Professional Services team is here to help customers monetize their digital video assets and, at the same time, contribute to the growth of the JWP platform revenue. We achieve this by leveraging our diverse experience and team skillset through well-defined repeatable packages, as well as complex consultancy services. The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Developer to join our esteemed team of Engineers committed to delivering tailored solutions for our clients. As a member of the Professional Services Engineering team, you will play a vital role in developing components that enhance the capabilities of our platform and APIs. Your responsibilities will involve integrating new features into both back-end and front-end workflows, as well as exploring creative approaches to implement functionalities for our web player, web app, and other front-end services.
As a Associate Backend Developer, you will:
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and assist in technical scoping and effort estimation for intricate projects.
- Architect, code, rigorously test, debug, and maintain scalable applications leveraging cutting-edge backend technologies and cloud architecture.
- Create custom integrations for our platform APIs and seamlessly incorporate third-party interfaces, predominantly employing Python.
- Deliver bespoke integrations and plugins tailored for the JWP platform.
- Collaborate closely with our Engineering and Product Management teams to contribute to the advancement of our product offerings.
- Engage in the entire software development life cycle, from initial requirement analysis through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
- Prioritize repeatability by recognizing the significance of comprehensive documentation and structured processes, actively demonstrating these principles
Requirements for the role:
- Proficient in Python for back-end development.
- Well-versed in managing relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Adept at writing secure code for seamless interaction with diverse APIs.
- Skilled in developing applications using JavaScript, Node.js, and various JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, React Native, Angular, etc.).
- Meticulous attention to detail when implementing and documenting your design solutions.
- Adept at conveying information clearly and concisely, with an emphasis on actionable insights.
- Enthusiastic about technology and staying abreast of the latest advancements in the field.
Bonus Points:
- Proficient in Node.js and Java.
- Possesses a robust portfolio or an active GitHub profile showcasing work and projects.
- Skilled in using testing tools like pytest.
- Familiarity with Docker containerization technology.
