The Functional Consultant will be the primary point of contact for customers on all functional requirements related to contract intelligence, legacy contract migration, and AI-driven analytics implementations. This role requires a strong understanding of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), data migration, and AI-powered contract analytics solutions. The consultant will work closely with customers to define business outcomes, configure solutions, improve extraction accuracy, and ensure successful adoption of Icertis AI/ML products. The primary goal is to earn customer trust by providing expert guidance, translating business requirements into scalable solutions, and delivering measurable business value throughout the implementation lifecycle.

• 4+ years of experience in enterprise software consulting, business analysis, CLM, procurement, legal technology, or related domains.
• Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management, contract operations, or document-intensive business processes.
• Experience facilitating customer workshops, gathering business requirements, and translating business needs into solution recommendations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage business and executive stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Business, Law, or a related field.
• 3–7+ years of experience in AI, analytics, contract lifecycle management (CLM), legal technology, or enterprise consulting.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Strong understanding of contract analytics, metadata extraction, clause identification, and AI-driven document intelligence.
• Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data to generate actionable business insights.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across business, legal, procurement, and IT teams.
• Experience in customer consulting, solution implementation, and pre-sales activities is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled CLM platforms and cloud-based AI technologies is an added advantage.

AI & Analytics Solution Design

• Design and implement AI-powered contract intelligence solutions using Vera Analytics Advanced (VAA).
• Analyze customer contract portfolios to define metadata, clause extraction, risk assessment, and analytics requirements.
• Translate business and legal needs into scalable AI-driven solution designs and implementation strategies.

Prompt Engineering & AI Optimization

• Develop, configure, test, and refine AI prompts to accurately extract contractual insights from unstructured documents.
• Validate AI-generated outputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and business relevance.
• Continuously optimize prompt strategies and extraction logic based on customer feedback, testing results, and evolving use cases.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to enhance AI model performance, usability, and adoption.

Data Analysis & Insight Validation

• Analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured contract data to uncover risks, obligations, compliance gaps, trends, and commercial opportunities.
• Validate extracted metadata, clauses, and AI-generated insights against business requirements and expected outcomes.
• Ensure the quality, integrity, and reliability of AI-driven analytics and reporting.

Customer Engagement & Consulting

• Act as a trusted advisor to business, legal, procurement, and IT stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Lead customer workshops, discovery sessions, and solution design discussions to align AI capabilities with business objectives.
• Drive user adoption and value realization by demonstrating best practices and enabling successful VAA deployments.
• Support pre-sales activities, including solution demonstrations, effort estimation, and proposal development.

Practice Development & Innovation

• Develop implementation accelerators, reusable assets, best practices, and delivery playbooks to improve project efficiency.
• Mentor and coach junior consultants and analysts on AI, contract analytics, and implementation methodologies.
• Contribute to innovation initiatives focused on Generative AI (GenAI), Natural Language Processing (NLP), contract intelligence, and emerging AI technologies.
• Stay current with advancements in AI and analytics to continuously enhance solution capabilities and delivery excellence.

• Drive execution of Icertis AI/ML product implementations for enterprise customers in accordance with Icertis implementation methodology, within the agreed scope, schedule, and effort.
• Lead discovery workshops to understand customer objectives, contract portfolios, data sources, business processes, and reporting requirements.
• Conceptualise and design best-of-breed solutions that address customer business objectives through AI-powered contract intelligence and analytics.
• Gather, document, and analyse functional requirements, use cases, business rules, and success criteria.
• Configure Prompts and validate AI-driven extraction, classification, clustering, and analytics capabilities to meet customer expectations.
• Collaborate with customers to define attributes, clauses, contract relationships, validation approaches, and migration acceptance criteria.
• Execute functional testing, validation exercises, user acceptance testing, and remediation activities to improve overall solution accuracy.
• Analyse large contract repositories and identify trends, risks, obligations, metadata, and business insights through AI-powered solutions.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Migration, Prompt Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide quality assurance and functional support across multiple customer engagements.
• Conduct customer demonstrations, training workshops, knowledge transfer sessions, and go-live readiness activities.
• Contribute to consulting capability development, reusable assets, implementation accelerators, and best practices within the Professional Services organisation.
• Provide product feedback and implementation insights that help shape future product enhancements and roadmap priorities.
