Deep knowledge of HA/DR, performance tuning, and security.

Deeps understanding of SQL performance tuning

Strong scripting/automation skills (PowerShell /Python preferred).

DBA Architect to design, govern, and optimize enterprise database platforms with a strong focus on Azure SQL services. This role owns database architecture, high availability, performance, security, automation, and cost optimization, while partnering with application, cloud, and security teams.
SQL Server Database Administration, 8+ Years exp.
Azure certifications (Azure Database Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect).
Experience working with FinOps and cloud cost governance.
Exposure to DevOps and IaC frameworks.
Experience supporting mission-critical, high-availability systems.
- Design scalable, secure, and highly available architectures using Azure SQL Database, Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VM.
- Define database standards, reference architectures, and best practices.
- Architect HA/DR solutions using Failover Groups, Active Geo-replication, Zone Redundancy, and backup strategies.
- Lead performance engineering, capacity planning, and scalability strategies.
- Design and enforce database security (Azure AD, TDE, Always Encrypted, Auditing, Defender for SQL).
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization, using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Lead database migration and modernization initiatives to Azure.
- Drive automation and DevOps using PowerShell, Azure Automation, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and lead root cause analysis (RCA).
- Optimize Azure SQL costs using right-sizing, elastic pools, and reserved capacity.
- Act as SME and escalation point, mentoring DBAs and guiding development teams.
- Adopt AI tools /Agents/third party tools for DB operations
