We’re looking for a Marketing Growth Engineer to join our Operations Intelligence squad and help us build smart, scalable systems that power revenue growth. You’ll extract and enrich data, build internal apps, integrate AI workflows, and plug into real-world business problems.

🧠 The Team You'll Join
The Demand Generation team at Gorgias is split into two squads:
Marketing Intelligence: Focused on experiments, campaign execution, messaging, and growth insights (you’ll collaborate with Calvin and Rory).
Operations Intelligence: Builds and maintains the infrastructure, workflows, and automations that drive lead generation, enrichment, segmentation, and outreach (you’ll work with Guillaume, Victor, and Gonçalo).
We partner closely with non-technical teams to enable self-service tools, enrich company and contact data, and activate high-intent leads across multiple channels.
🛠 What You’ll Be Doing
Enrichment at scale: Extract company and contact data using APIs (e.g., Shopify, Apollo, PhantomBuster), clean it via automated SQL workflows, and enrich it using LLMs and heuristics.
Internal tooling: Build apps and workflows in Retool to help marketing and sales teams autonomously launch experiments, enroll contacts, and activate data.
AI & workflow automation: Integrate LLMs to extract metadata (e.g., industry tags, personas, job functions) from unstructured sources like website descriptions or job titles.
Signal-based targeting: Surface high-intent buying signals (e.g., new hires, tech stack changes, CX job postings) and feed them into outbound engines.
Data pipelines: Maintain and improve ETL processes that support data quality, freshness, and usability across Gorgias growth systems.
Cross-team collaboration: Work closely with marketing, content, and revenue teams to connect their strategy to the right data and systems.

Create a persona classifier using AI and internal heuristics to group contacts into CX-relevant roles for segmentation.
Build a copywriter engine that plugs AI-generated content into cold outreach based on real-time lead attributes.
Design a signal aggregator that consolidates job posts, tech stack installs, and web activity into actionable alerts.
Improve our internal activation app to make it easier for non-technical teams to trigger enrichments, enrollments, and contact sequences.

🧑🚀 Who We’re Looking For
We’re not looking for a deep specialist. We’re looking for a scrappy, curious generalist who can connect systems, work with data, and solve business problems with a product mindset.
You might be a strong fit if you:
Have 2+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or automation in a startup or growth-focused team.
Are proficient in SQL (non-negotiable) and know your way around Python or JavaScript.
Are comfortable working with APIs (REST, GraphQL) and integrating data from external services.
Enjoy building small internal tools and workflows, especially in low-code platforms like Retool or with scripting.
Have a business-first mindset, you care about driving revenue, not just shipping code.
Can think holistically: you can go from extracting raw data → cleaning/enriching it → using it to trigger actions or insights.
Are a good teammate: humble, collaborative, and not afraid to ask questions or challenge assumptions.
