About the Team

💟 Our People’s team mission is to have exceptional people grow in an exceptional environment. We are currently a team of 16 people in 3 sub-teams: People Operations, Talent Acquisition and People Experience & Culture.

💟 The People Experience & Culture team encompasses Workplace Management, HRBPs, Total Rewards + Payroll and of course, Talent Development

💟 We are a globally distributed People team with team members in Canada, US, France, Portugal and Serbia.

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Talent Development Lead to join our People Experience and Culture team. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and managing programs that foster the growth and development of our employees. As a key player in our People team, you will work closely with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to create impactful development initiatives that support our rapidly scaling org.

You will serve as an Individual Contributor initially, with the expectation to build and lead a team as the company grows.

What You’ll Do

  • Build a scalable Learning and Training strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and training framework that grows with our company, focused on Senior ICs and Managers, but also flexible enough to support our top talents. Evaluate the effectiveness of development programs through metrics and feedback and adjust as needed.

  • Implementation and Management of Talent Development Programs designed to attract and retain top talent: Design, implement, and oversee innovative talent development programs from scratch, aligned with our unique Gorgias culture and business goals. Foster continuous learning through Talent Reviews, Coaching, and Trainings for new hires and throughout the employee lifecycle and for all levels.

  • Promote and embody cross team collaboration to maintain and increase employee engagement: Collaborate with HRBPs to identify and assess talent development needs across the company. Promote a collaborative environment, working with various stakeholders to achieve common goals.

  • Manage our Learning & Wellness Stipend Program and re-build it as needed

  • Organize quarterly and annual trainings and/or learning sessions for Gorgias Employees during company events

  • Build and grow the Talent Development team and function

Who You Are

  • Proven experience in a Talent Development role, preferably within a scale-up environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement new programs from scratch. Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Experience working with a globally distributed team, remote and in office and with different cultures. This is a critical piece and we want to make sure you are very aware of it.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels

  • Strong collaborator, able to work effectively with HRBPs (preferably with experience working with HRBPs)

  • Highly innovative and creative. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to new tools and change to internal and external processes.

Nice to haves

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in building and leading a team is a plus.

  • Adept at using data and metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
