The Lead QA Engineer is our most senior non-management role for those with extensive, in-depth, hands-on, quality over quantity, project experience. This pivotal position designs and implements tests, debugs, and completes assigned tickets. The main responsibilities of this position include implementing preventative measures to ensure product quality, tracking quality assurance metrics, and providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems for the Development team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and execute product quality strategies for Extreme Reach products
  • Play a pivotal role in our lean agile product development process. Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using industry standard tools and frameworks, such as Cypress
  • Identify, record, and document bugs and the debugging process results
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
  • Liaise with internal teams and team members to identify system requirements
  • Investigate the causes of software quality problems and train other team members to implement solutions as necessary
  • Track quality assurance metrics
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
  • Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with other team members, stakeholders and clients through electronic-messaging/phone
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent combination of work and educational experience
  • 8 - 10 years of experience in software development / software quality assurance
  • Solid background in SQL, scripting, and software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Proficient with automated testing frameworks and tools, such as Cypress
  • Hands on experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Demonstrated results-driven mindset, and perform effectively with minimal supervision
  • Proven time and project management ability while working with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional eye for detail in addition to analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills
