This individual will be responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement of goods and services for Extreme Reach. In this role, the individual will develop policies and procedures for purchasing while building and maintaining relationships with vendors to negotiate deals.

This strategic and growth-oriented role will ensure that all purchases are made in accordance with organizational policies and procedures and will enable the organization to receive high quality goods and services delivered on time and at the best possible price.

Job Responsibilities:

The procurement manager’s primary responsibility will be to strategically negotiate with both new and existing vendors to ensure ER contracts with the most optimal and cost effective vendors.

Although cost and spend are very important, it is also not the only criteria. The procurement manager must be able to balance out the other benefits which may be both strategic, legal, or future commercial value.

Therefore the role will also involve:

  • Working with our Finance team to optimize our purchasing process
  • Liaising with functional leadership to develop procurement plans and strategies to meet organizational needs and goals
  • Leading our existing Vendor Management group to evaluate, approve and set up new vendors, including screening for OFAC, insurance requirements, and other industry normative validation points
  • Evaluating supplier proposals and negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Facilitating heads of business to implement processes to manage supplier relationships and monitor performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements
  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, and,
  • Establishing and manage an RFP framework tailored to each department's business needs
  • Developing a mature third party risk management program with a cross disciplinary team including Finance, Compliance, Legal, and Security
  • Other duties as assigned by Management

*Pursuant to New York City's Pay Transparency Law the pay range for this position is $93,000-117,000; base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of proven experience in vendor procurement within a service organization
  • Professional certification is preferred, but not required
  • Proven experience with negotiating contracts in order to produce cost savings
  • Experience within the Tech industry is desirable
  • Ability to “get into the detail” of a vendor and what the key components of an offer are
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required (3-5 days per month) to accommodate conversations with global vendors (eg. USA time zone)
  • Familiarity with procurement regulations, laws, and ethical standards
