Extreme Reach is searching for an experienced Director, Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) to join our team and help us achieve our goal of bringing diversity of perspective to everything we do. This newly created role will be the go-to for all things DEI across the organization and will redefine what DEI means to Extreme Reach. Our established DEI Committee has worked hard to bring education to our team members and we are looking for someone that has the ability to inspire, motivate and mobilize team members at all levels to embrace diversity and ensure that we have an inclusive culture at all levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of DEI principles and be well-versed in the challenges and barriers faced by underrepresented groups in a global workplace.
Primarily focused on internal DEI alignment, this role will lead our DEI committee, organizational goals around DEI, and partner with HR. We are looking for someone to develop and deliver a comprehensive plan for DEI that aligns with our organizational goals. This role will also advise our Insights and marketing teams, offering counsel on best practices regarding DEI analytics and diversity in advertising, allowing for an opportunity to influence inclusion beyond ER’s workplace into advertisements around the globe. This role also requires someone who is analytical and data-driven and being comfortable collecting and analyzing data related to diversity metrics, engagement surveys and other relevant sources to inform decision-making.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Chief People Officer, HR and Learning & Development teams to define internal education and global learning and development programs in line with ER’s DEI goals
- Analyze team member data to determine makeup of the organization, and identify and recommend opportunities for increased diversity of perspective in key areas.
- Lead the development and implementation of a DEI communications strategy and plan, including advising and coaching key leaders on how to reinforce key messages in their own formal and informal communications
- Act as the internal spokesperson for DEI, raising the profile of the DEI efforts including proactively taking part in external panels, conferences, etc as well as internal events; partner with Marketing for external communication & awareness efforts
- Partner with HR to develop, implement, and measure success criteria to assess the value and impact of the various DEI programs and actions including, but not limited to: measures of the makeup and composition of our workforce, talent acquisition, development, engagement and retention
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory and policy developments affecting DEI and industry best practices and bring relevant recommendations to the leadership team
- Performs other projects or duties as assigned
- Embodies the values of diversity, equity and inclusion and a demonstrated inclusive mindset, global cultural competence and strong personal integrity in their actions, decisions, and interactions with others.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus 7 years of experience leading DEI initiatives
- CPLP / CDP / CPDI Preferred
- Commitment to staying informed about the latest DEI research, trends and practices and having an openness to learning from others
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to communicate at all levels
- Strong analytical skills and be able to interpret numerical data
- The anticipated salary range for this position is $125,000 - $145,000, contingent on experience and other job-related factors.
