Extreme Reach is looking for a Head of Learning to devise our organizational learning & development strategy, oversee its implementation, and ensure successful adoption across the organization. This role will partner with leaders and team members across the organization to carefully identify the developmental needs of our people. In this role the right person will facilitate setting our people up for success in their current roles and support future changes or growth they may be interested in.

The ideal candidate for this role will have proven experience curating training and development programs from scratch, and will know what it takes to improve upon existing programs. They will be a learning enthusiast with a knack for leveraging the latest in adult learning/development research when it comes to defining our programs. Our learning and development programs run on cycles, so being able to manage time effectively and turn things around quickly will ensure success in this role. Lastly, we strongly believe in the importance of fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace, and proven experience supporting diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging initiatives is important to the success of this role.

Job Responsibility Summary:

  • Develop an organizational learning and development strategy that is tied to overall corporate objectives, linked to company success drivers, supportive of employee experience desires, and that all learning opportunities are fair, inclusive and accessible to all
  • Identify and assess current and future learning needs through skills gap analysis, job analysis, career paths, annual reviews, feedback and discussions with managers
  • Leverage a variety of training methods to ensure successful learning across for each of our people, considering: learning styles, language requirements, cultural differences, time zones, and workload demands
  • Facilitate training and coach facilitators on training best practices, providing coaching to in-house trained facilitators
  • Monitor and evaluate learning effectiveness, tracking and reporting regularly on KPI’s, and adjusting programs based on feedback
  • Manage annual training budget
  • Manage cloud-based learning platform (HowNow)
  • Maintain an up to date understanding of the latest learning trends, developments, and best practices
  • Provide opportunities for ongoing development for employees at every level of the organization
  • Facilitate cross-department learning and onboarding of new employees
  • Resolve any problems that may arise related to the learning programs, making adjustments as needed
  • Ensure training programs meet locally applicable compliance requirements globally
  • Performs other projects or duties as assigned

*ADA Essential Functions

*Pursuant to New York City's Pay Transparency Law the pay range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000; base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, human resources, workforce development or relevant field, plus 7-10 years of experience in corporate training; or equivalent experience in corporate training
  • Experienced in online learning management system administration
  • Familiarity with modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom, e-learning, webinars, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to plan, manage multiple tasks at once, and manage time effectively
  • Strong writing and reporting ability for reports and training manuals
  • Expert user of excel, powerpoint (google sheets and slides experience a plus)
