Job Summary:

As a Senior Carrier Sales Representative, you’ll be at the forefront of our capacity strategy, owning relationships with key carrier partners while driving adoption of digital tools that fuel operational efficiency and scalability. You’ll play a critical role in building a reliable carrier network, optimizing freight coverage, and pushing forward our tech-enabled freight vision.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and nurture long-term carrier relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to help grow their business with us.
  • Source and secure capacity for daily and project-based freight, balancing cost, service, and reliability.
  • Drive adoption of digital booking tools across your carrier base to reduce manual touchpoints and improve speed to cover.
  • Promote tech-tracking compliance (ELD/API/Mobile tracking) to improve shipment visibility and service quality.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with account management and operations teams to ensure alignment on freight strategy and execution.
  • Leverage data and dashboards to identify high-performing carriers, gaps in coverage, and opportunities to optimize the network.
  • Stay current on market trends, rate fluctuations, and industry tech developments to provide insights to both internal teams and carrier partners.
  • Mentor junior reps and support training initiatives, leading by example with hustle, ownership, and carrier-first thinking.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in carrier sales or capacity procurement in a brokerage or 3PL environment.
  • Proven success in building carrier relationships and covering freight in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong understanding of digital freight platforms, load boards, TMS, and tracking technologies.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-driven mindset with a bias for action and continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable with data analysis and tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, and BI platforms.
  • Experience with platforms like Parade, Trucker Tools, MacroPoint, or similar tools is a plus.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
