Job Summary

As a Carrier Partnerships Representative at Emerge, you will be responsible for building and managing a portfolio of 50-100 carriers within our industry-leading Premier Carrier Program. This strategic initiative connects mid-to-large carriers (50+ trucks) directly to shipper RFPs, unlocking access to over $12 billion in annual contract freight. You will drive carrier acquisition, onboard new partners, and provide hands-on training to help them navigate the Emerge RFP Platform and Contract Marketplace. Your goal is to empower carriers to bid strategically, optimize their network, and secure long-term freight opportunities.

Beyond onboarding, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor, guiding carriers on bidding strategies and pricing to maximize contract awards. You’ll work closely with both internal operations teams and carrier dispatch teams to ensure seamless execution and high service performance on secured freight. Success in this role requires a strong sales mindset, deep industry knowledge, and a consultative approach to carrier relationships. The ideal candidate will have prior logistics experience and a high level of sales and customer service aptitude. We expect you to be a reliable, self-starter who is able to effectively communicate the functionality and benefits of all Emerge carrier-facing product offerings, with a specialized focus on Emerge’s Contract Marketplace, to new and existing carrier customers.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Prospect and onboard new carriers into Emerge’s Premier Carrier Program, made up of a select group of 100+ truck carriers with access to the Emerge RFP platform where they can bid on the over $10B of shipper-direct contract freight
  • Manage a portfolio of 50-100 Premier Carriers, driving bidding activity and engagement with Emerge’s Digital RFP Platform
  • Build high-level relationships with decision-makers to promote the value of the Premier Carrier Program and Emerge’s Carrier Marketplace offerings
  • Collaborate with internal Operations teams and external operational stakeholders at portfolio carriers to ensure smooth execution and high service performance of awarded contract freight
  • Travel to carrier locations to build a strong rapport and foster in-person connections.
  • Represent Emerge at various carrier events, conferences, or seminars, bolstering the brand’s presence and reputation in the industry.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on the Premier Carrier Program, Carrier Platform and Contract Marketplace, staying up to date on new product features and offerings, and driving usage by carriers in your portfolio
  • Work collaboratively with the Carrier Sales floor to identify and capture available Contract Marketplace opportunities for portfolio carriers

Required Skills/Abilities

  • 3+ years of relevant experience and track record of success in Carrier-facing Sales, Operations, Account Management or Fleet Management roles. Carrier Sales experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of the freight market, logistics industry, sales, and negotiating principles
  • The ability to work and learn in a fast-paced team environment
  • Comfortable in dynamic start-up work environment
  • Proficient in MS Office and G Suite (Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides, Word/Docs, etc)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfort presenting to and building relationships with executive level decision makers
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Enthusiastic, passionate, and self-motivated
  • BS or BA in business is preferred

Travel Requirement

  • Up to 10%
