About Misan

Misan is Bamboo’s cross-border payments platform, helping individuals and businesses send, receive and manage money across the markets and payment methods we support. Our products span consumer experiences, business payments and APIs that enable partners to integrate Misan’s capabilities into their own products.

About the role

Your primary responsibility will be Misan Business: the products, APIs and supporting workflows that help organisations collect, move, disburse and manage money. You’ll work directly with business customers, integration partners and internal teams to understand their needs, decide what matters most and deliver reliable products.

Your remit covers the customer experience and the workflows behind it: how businesses get started, integrate with Misan, move money, track transactions and resolve problems. You’ll also support improvements to Misan’s consumer web and mobile experiences as priorities require, while keeping business payments as your main focus.

This is a hands-on role in a small team. You should bring enough practical payments and product experience to take ownership without needing to learn the fundamentals from scratch. You’ll also be expected to use AI as part of how you work: building agents and automations, accelerating analysis and prototyping, and improving how the team delivers and operates its products.

What you’ll do

  • Own discovery, prioritisation and delivery for agreed areas of Misan Business’s roadmap, primarily across business payments and API integrations.

  • Work directly with business customers and integration partners to understand their workflows, identify recurring needs and turn them into product priorities.

  • Build API products with Engineering, covering integration requirements, documentation, testing, transaction statuses, error handling and the path from integration to live usage.

  • Map end-to-end payment journeys with Engineering, Operations and Compliance, including collection, currency conversion where applicable, payout, settlement and reconciliation.

  • Define how customers and internal teams handle pending, failed and returned payments, with clear information and practical routes to resolution.

  • Write clear requirements and success measures, work through trade-offs with Engineering and Design, and follow delivery through testing, launch and production performance.

  • Build and use AI agents and automations to improve product work and operational workflows, reducing repetitive effort and assessing whether the resulting outputs are accurate and useful.

  • Evaluate payment partners’ capabilities, reliability and integration requirements alongside the teams responsible for commercial relationships.

  • Support improvements to consumer web and mobile journeys where needed, using customer feedback, support insights and behavioural data to address friction.

  • Track adoption, transaction performance and customer outcomes, and use what you learn to improve the product.

What success looks like

  • Business customers and partners successfully onboard, integrate and transact repeatedly.

  • API integrations move into production with fewer avoidable delays and less manual support.

  • Customers can understand where their money is and what happens next, including when transactions are delayed or unsuccessful.

  • Improvements to payment journeys reduce customer friction and operational effort.

  • AI agents and automations deliver measurable improvements in the speed or quality of work.

  • Product priorities reflect customer evidence, business value and the team’s capacity.

  • Features work reliably after launch and deliver the outcomes they were built for.

What you’ll bring

  • Around 2–3 years of relevant product management experience, with meaningful hands-on work in B2B payments, cross-border transfers or other money-movement products. The depth of your ownership matters more than an exact number of years.

  • A practical understanding of how money moves between customers, payment providers and recipients, including settlement, reconciliation and common failure points.

  • Experience building or integrating API products and working closely with engineers and external partners.

  • Strong product fundamentals: customer discovery, problem definition, prioritisation, clear requirements and delivery.

  • Hands-on experience using AI tools and building agents or automations to solve real problems. You can explain what you built, how you evaluated it and what it improved, with sound judgement about accuracy, sensitive data and where human review is needed.

  • Experience using customer feedback and data to make decisions and assess whether a change worked.

  • An understanding of how compliance and operational requirements affect payment products, and experience working with the relevant specialists.

  • The ability to explain complex workflows clearly, make reasoned recommendations and follow through on decisions.

  • Comfort working in a small team, with business payments as your primary focus and flexibility to contribute to consumer experiences when needed.

Nice to have

  • Experience building internal operational tools.
