Avaline is seeking a talented Retention Email & SMS Contractor to support our Marketing Team on a part-time, contract basis. This role will focus on building, deploying, and optimizing retention-focused email and SMS campaigns while supporting broader lifecycle marketing initiatives. You’ll collaborate closely with our Senior Growth Marketing Manager and Brand Team to deliver high-quality, on-brand, and performance-driven lifecycle communications.

This position is remote and can be based anywhere in the US.

What You'll Do:

• Build, schedule, and deploy recurring retention email and SMS campaigns (promotions, education, winback, post-purchase, etc.).
• Create and maintain automated lifecycle flows, including welcome, post-purchase, replenishment, and winback journeys.
• Develop segments and targeting strategies to personalize messaging and improve performance.
• Write clear, compelling, and brand-aligned copy for email and SMS communications.
• Collaborate with internal teams to source or brief necessary creative assets.
  
• Conduct A/B tests across subject lines, creative, send times, and flow touchpoints.
• Monitor performance metrics, analyze results, and provide actionable insights for optimization.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in retention, lifecycle, email, and/or SMS marketing.
  
• Hands-on experience with Klaviyo, Attentive, Postscript, or similar ESP/SMS platforms.
  
• Strong understanding of lifecycle strategy, segmentation, and performance-driven messaging.
  
• Familiarity with basic HTML email editing and drag-and-drop builders.
  
• Excellent attention to detail, strong organization, and ability to meet deadlines independently.
  
• Experience working with DTC, CPG, or lifestyle brands.
  
• Comfort interpreting analytics dashboards and performance metrics.
  
• Basic knowledge of A/B testing frameworks and deliverability best practices.

The Retention Email & SMS Contractor position comes with a billable pay rate of $3,500–$5,500 per month for approximately 10–20 hours per week (40–80 hours monthly).
