Avaline is seeking a Social Media Strategist to lead the brand’s social presence across platforms. This role will be responsible for developing and executing innovative, insight-driven strategies that grow Avaline’s community, increase engagement, and elevate the brand voice. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, cultural trend-spotter, and skilled storyteller who understands how to create and scale social-first content that drives awareness and builds advocacy for Avaline.
This is a highly collaborative role that will work closely with the Marketing, Influencer, Retail, Partnerships, and Creative teams to bring Avaline’s campaigns and brand moments to life across our social platforms.
Reporting to the Director, Brand Marketing. This is a remote position and must be based in Los Angeles.
What You'll Do:
Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute Avaline’s overarching social media strategy, ensuring alignment with brand goals, product launches, retail initiatives, events, and influencer partnerships.
- Serve as the social thought-leader within campaign planning, ensuring social-first thinking informs creative development, activations, and amplification.
- Understand and articulate the critical role social channels play in shaping brand identity, storytelling, and long-term equity for Avaline.
- Identify emerging platforms, cultural trends, and digital opportunities to keep Avaline at the forefront of conversation.
Content Development & Creative
- Manage content calendars to ensure integrated rollout of campaigns and always-on storytelling.
- Lead the creation, curation, and publishing of compelling, brand-aligned content across the Avalaine social media eco-system.
- Partner with Creative, Brand and Trade teams to concept and deliver social-first assets tailored to each platform.
Community & Engagement
- Oversee real-time engagement with Avaline’s community to build meaningful connections and advocacy.
- Use social listening to capture trends, cultural moments, and consumer sentiment that can inform strategy.
- Develop proactive programs to foster community growth, UGC, and brand advocacy.
Partnership & Cross-Functional Integration
- Collaborate with Brand, Influencer, PR, Creative, Trade Marketing and Paid Media teams to amplify campaigns, partnerships, and press moments.
- Translate retail launches, key accounts, and partnership activations into social-first moments that drive awareness and sell-through.
- Partner with Paid Media to ensure organic and paid social strategies are integrated and optimized for both brand storytelling and conversion.
Measurement & Optimization
- Define KPIs and oversee weekly and monthly reporting across all platforms.
- Monitor performance metrics to provide actionable insights and optimizations.
- Leverage analytics to connect social performance to broader business priorities/outcomes.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in social media strategy and execution, ideally within consumer brands, lifestyle, or CPG
- Proven track record of building and scaling social channels with strong growth and engagement
- Strong understanding of content creation, social trends, and community management
- Excellent writing, storytelling, and communication skills with an eye for aesthetics and brand voice
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities at once
The Social Media Strategist role offers a salary of $100-120K Base + Annual Bonus, based on a variety of factors,
