As the Senior BI Architect , you will gather and analyze data to solve complex problems and evaluate scenarios to make predictions on future outcomes and support decision making. Acting independently, serves as a technical expert in Business Intelligence and data analysis. The Business Intelligence Solution Architect will be responsible for leading, implementing, and supporting enterprise Business Intelligence capabilities in a timely and accurate manner. You will lead all aspects of the delivery of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions and will synthesize overall strategy by analyzing a wide variety of solutions, selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific business requirements and contribute to BI enterprise architecture

How will you be doing this?

Leads Data & BI Architecture working sessions with appropriate stakeholders across the organization to create and maintain data, integration and BI capabilities within the Big Data function. Ensures these designs & solutions are kept current, are approved, are fit for purpose, and evangelized across the organization.
Leverages thorough understanding of business process and system processes to make recommendations and propose technical/non-technical solutions to meet business requirements.
Works with the application engineers to implement Data & BI strategies and build data flows.
Implements Data Governance practice in the Big Data/Datawarehouse/Transactional systems environment through a set of frameworks/architecture/management standards.
Architect effective analytics platform by leveraging the Big Data technologies.
Provides technical and strategic leadership in all Data & BI Architecture subject areas.
Champions common data definitions and data protection and security.
Perform software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis, capacity planning etc. within the Big Data environment.
Partner with internal and external technology providers, third parties, analysts, BI engineers, QA and infrastructure operations teams to jointly design and develop integrated solutions
Design and development of the overall Data Integration, Data Warehouse architecture (ETL, Dimensional Modeling) for multiple transactional systems and multiple sources of internal and external data.
Well versed in normalization/denormalization techniques for data analysis and optimum performance in relational and dimensional database environments
Contribute to and employ best practices and strategies in optimizing the performance of data analysis and stability of data integration solutions
Built solutions by leveraging advanced testing techniques and implemented proper audits, alerts, and notifications that proactively measures failures before they happen along with mentoring others to do the same.

What will you bring to the team

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or another computer-based discipline. Master degree preferred.
Minimum 6 years hands-on experience and manager-level experience in developing BI solutions
At least 8 years experience of following BI disciplines: Data Integration, Modeling, Analytics or Reporting
Minimum 8 years of SQL experience and a record of accomplishment of designing, deploying and evolving ETL solutions to meet business requirements via creating SQL and best practices for multiple platforms.
Proven analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and ability to communicate well, even to non-technical users.
Deep experience in data warehouse, data integration and data modeling. Strong data sensitivity and rich experience dealing with large-scale data in terms of storage, integration, tuning and analysis.
Strong development skills: Python (preferred), Java, PHP, Ruby. Rich experience dealing with data including ETL pentaho is Big Plus
Deep experience in architecting Data-warehouse (AWS Redshift), BI platforms like Tableau, Web Analytics tools (Google Analytics, Heap) and exposure to transactional systems like Salesforce, Marketo
Built rock solid relational databases solutions along with designing, implementing, testing, migrating, deploying and managing ETL solutions: Core functional ETL processing (extract transform, and load).
Strong desire to teach and mentor other developers along with proven ability to work autonomously or in a team setting
Data Warehousing principles and dimensional models; sourcing data from OLTP, SaaS, and OLAP application.
Project Management experience with ability to meet aggressive project objectives, including time management, planning, prioritizing, documenting, reporting, tracking of status and reviewing deliverables
Broad technical exposure to BI disciplines and tools, including Requirements Analysis, Management, ETL concepts, Data Warehouse, Analytics and Dashboards.
Develop detailed project plans, including budgets, resource allocation, and risk management
Facilitate meetings and reporting to ensure schedules and deliverables meet client and senior management expectations
Provide leadership, mentoring and career development guidance to the BI team
Contribute to the development of long-term roadmaps and strategic direction
Work to continuously improve BI solutions by addressing supportability, flexibility and extensibility in the design phase
Develop solutions that meet the security, privacy, and auditability requirements of the business and our clients
