What can you tell your friends when they ask you what you do?
I help ensure that our audiences, no matter where, how and when they engage with us, have a clear sense of who App Annie is and what we stand for. I lead a team of Web and Visual/Brand senior designers, brand strategists, web conversion and senior production managers to execute App Annie's visual strategy across all departments, channels, platforms, products and services, including content, product, marketing and external and internal communications. I partner with our VP of Marketing to help conceive, develop and approve our marketing creative.
How will you be doing this?
Work with key members of App Annie's senior leadership team on the evolution and execution of App Annie’s brand, ensuring that the visual brand aligns with App Annie’s mission and strategic and business goals.
Working with teams across the organization, ensuring the brand’s visual identity is expressed consistently across all channels, products and services, including digital, print, social, video, marketing, live events, and corporate communications.
Manage the web site and has experience both managing both brand while meeting conversion goals; has re-designed a website to meet brand objectives
Work with key stakeholders to evolve and steward the brand, creating thoughtful and sophisticated design that meets the business objectives
Work hand-in-hand with product team to support the brand strategy and organizational goals.
Provide design team leaders high-level, strategic design direction and helps design teams resolve the creative tensions between brand consistency and platform-specific design constraints and needs.
Work with VP of Marketing to conceive and approve day-to-day marketing creative.
Work with VP of Marketing and other key stakeholders to create, coordinate, and deploy highly effective visual marketing
Collaborate with key stakeholders in product, editorial, and leadership to continuously raise design and visual standards.
Work with and in some cases recruits and manages outside vendors--agencies, copywriters, etc--to create on-brand, impactful marketing materials.
Oversee the corporate creative, brand and web team and responsible for the budget of this function.
Lead the development, evolution, and governance of visual style guidelines.
What will you bring to the team?
You have energy, creativity and a visionary approach to engaging consumers through compelling design experiences
You have deep knowledge and experience in brand visual identity in a multi-platform environment
You have experience in leading brand strategy and design teams, and understand how to grow and scale an organization to support global needs.
You have led significant brand and website projects that map to corporate strategy
You have a bachelor’s degree in art, graphic design, or similar field (or experience equivalent) as well as 15 years experience in design management.
